According to the legislator, the initiative which is fully funded by his office would help to provide materials to over three thousand students displaced as a result of flood resulting from the Akosombo dam spillage.
He noted that the initiative had become very important due to the devastating effect the flood resulting from the Akososmbo dam spoilage has caused on the livelihood and properties of communities and people within his constituency.
“Yesterday, I launched Operation Restore at the Mepe St. Kizito Camp by replacing the school bags, shoes, exercise books, pens, pencils, erasers and sharpeners of some 3,000 displaced school pupils. These are school items lost to the VRA-induced floods which are urgently needed by our 3,000 lovely children across the 21 displaced camps as they resume academic work through my Camp Classes initiative”.
