Popular Nigerian singer and industry heartthrob Ruger took to his Instagram page to make a post, thanking popular blogger Tunde Ednut for being the first person to discover him before his record label.
This is the first time Ruger is publicly acknowledging that it was Tunde Ednut who discovered him before handing him over to D’Prince who signed him to Jonzing World Record in 2021.
In his post, “Just because I’m free to talk now, I want to specially thank @mazitundeednut for being the initial person that discovered me before handing me over to D’Prince. God bless you, kingmaker,” he wrote.
Ruger’s post implied that he wasn’t free to talk at first, and now that he is no longer part of Jonzing World, he can speak freely.
This brings to mind the question as to whether Ruger was not permitted to give Tunde Ednut accolades while he was on the Jonzing World record label.
Recall that not too long ago, Ruger had shocked his fans by releasing a statement about his departure from Jonzing World Record.
This came as a shock because he was signed just roughly three years ago, which made his departure appear abrupt. He also stated that he would be launching his record label ‘Blown Boy Entertainment’ following his exit from Jonzing World.
Despite the many eyebrows that were raised, Ruger didn’t offer an insight as to why he was exiting his former record label, and neither did D’Prince. Instead, a new artist was signed to Jonzing World following Ruger’s exit, which prompted further questions as to whether there was an issue between Ruger and his former record label.
Sending Message To D’Prince As Ruger Departs
Former Nigerian singer turned blogger, Tunde Ednut has penned a message to singer, D’Prince following his fallout with his signee, Ruger.
Tunde Ednut, reacting to Ruger’s departure from the ‘Jonzing World’ record label via his Instagram page, sent a message to D’Prince stating that God sees his plain heart and transparency to D’Prince.
He promised to speak his mind when the time was right as he noted how people aren’t always who they seem to be. Tunde added that when God honors him more, he wouldn’t stop helping people as that is what he is known for and God has brought him to the world to do.
Ednut further added that time will tell, and when the time is right, they will talk the truth, but for now, he appreciates Ruger for gaining his freedom.
“No matter what you do in this life, don’t let any human let you stop helping people in this life. So many things to say about D’Prince, but we will talk about it another day. I don’t like to trend anymore, if not. I Sha don keep quiet since. If man no honor me, God will honor me. I will talk my mind when the time is right. People are not who they seem to be. @dprince God sees my plain heart to you and my transparency. God will honor me one day and I will never stop helping people.
“That’s what I am known for. That’s what God has brought me to this world to do. Time will tell. When the time is right, we go talk the full matter. God bless you @rugerofficial… NOW YOU ARE FREE!!! I’m happy for you. No one can stop your shine or your GRACE. God has destined you for greatness. I don talk my mind. I no kuku send anybody”.
Tunde Ednut
This isn’t the first time, Tunde Ednut has been credited for helping upcoming artists.
Recall that upcoming singer and songwriter, Spyro had revealed how Tunde Ednut reached out to him and helped his music career.
The singer appreciated the US-based Tunde Ednut for his help, as he revealed that after the release of his song “Who is your Guy”, Tunde called him to ask what next and how he could help.
He then went on to suggest a variety of artists he could work with and ended up linking him with singer Tiwa Savage.
