Trigmatic, born Enoch Nana Yaw Oduro-Agyei, has encouraged the electorate in Ghana to “go beyond partisan love,” fanaticism, and self-interest as they “speak with your thumb” this year.
The musician and entrepreneur was reacting to the question about what should guide voters come December 7, 2024.
“You know what’s going on, you know the challenges in the country. Do you think leadership is doing the best? Do you think they are not? What’s happening on the ground? Do you think the opposition will bring the change? Those are things you need to look at.”

Prior, the Safoa Band Leader highlighted the essence of voting.
“To vote is your opportunity to speak, as well, and so take that opportunity with your thumb and say what you want to say through your votes. That’s the most I can say,” Trigmatic said.
While the African Music Business Dialogue Founder admitted he “cannot speak for the entire country” about how good or bad life currently is, he observed, “There’s a cry, there’s a cry.”
Ghana returns to the polls on Saturday, December 7, 2024. For the presidency, the main options are Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia succeeding his boss President Nana Akufo-Addo, with assistance from Energy Minister Matthew Opoku Prempeh, or returning former President John Mahama to power with Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang at his side.
Trigmatic emphasized he had no desire to dictate to anyone what they should decide on D-Day, and while he said considering one’s circumstances was important for voting, he advocated patriotism and warned selfishness would ruin the country.
“Some of us come and maybe we sound like we have all the solutions but you know what you want to say and you can only say it come December 7 [by voting]. Come [to the voting booth] assessing the country and do not be selfish.
“You know a lot of times we tend to be selfish when it comes to deciding as a country and individuals just think about their personal benefits only: ‘When I’m hungry today, I complain. When I’m not, I don’t talk about it’.”

Musician Reveals Reason for 40Under40 Awards
Trigmatic has been nominated for the 8th edition of the 40Under40 Awards.
The recognition, he explained is to award 40 people under the age of 40 who are doing works of excellence, and their diligence.
“I’ve been nominated for the entertainment category. Voting is ongoing till the 31st of July. If I win, it will be great for me because this is actually the year I turn 40. I’m technically not there but it’ll be a good gift to have it.”

Considering his journey in the media, entertainment, and business, Trigmatic asserted he deserved the honor, remarking, also: “I’m proud of myself and big thanks to God for guiding me through all of this.”
Being aware that some people nominate themselves, the Safoa Band Leader revealed, that his personal assistant (PA), and lawyer, surprised him with the nomination in recognition of his multi-dimensional influence and contribution to arts and entertainment.
When the 40Under40 Awards organizers sent his team a biography they had composed on him, the African Music Business Dialogue Founder expressed gratitude.
“That’s when I actually appreciated the pain I’ve been through [and] all the work [I had done]. It looked like nobody was looking at it but it made sense and it will make sense to anybody that reads it.
“Whether [I] win or lose, I am content. When I was reading it, I was like: ‘Wow, I’ve really done so much’.”

The National Folklore Board Member encouraged compatriots and fans to vote for him by dialing *447*4040# on their phones, “and you keep using 02 till you get to number 19,” he said.
