Movement For Change

According to Courage Nobi, Deputy Communications Officer, Alan Kyerematen, the leader of the Movement of Change, is dedicated to fostering comprehensive and equitable growth, ensuring that all Ghanaians benefit from and contribute to the country’s progress.

Nobi highlighted that the Movement of Change’s comprehensive development agenda encompasses the empowerment of Zongo Communities through education.

He noted that this is exemplified by the party’s innovative initiative to integrate Makaranta teachers into the government’s payroll, ensuring sustainable support for these vital community educators.

He added that by integrating Makaranta teachers into the government’s payroll, the state can effectively oversee and standardize the quality of education provided, ensuring that the curriculum aligns with national standards and promotes holistic development.

“As we speak now, the government has no control over what kind of education they are receiving. So even if there are some illicit activities or negative education going on that is counter to our development, we will not know”.

“It is only when we have probably integrated them that you will be able to regulate their activities and then make sure that together as a people, we are transforming and growing”.

Courage Nobi

He also assured that the Movement of Change has a robust plan in place to self-fund this initiative, avoiding the need for loans or external debt, and thereby maintaining control and autonomy in its implementation.

Nobi emphasized that a future MFC government will spearhead a comprehensive national industrial drive, which will catalyze successfully rolling out and sustaining initiatives like this, driving meaningful progress and development.

The MFC Communicator pointed out that by transforming the agricultural sector, the government will unlock new revenue streams through taxation, which will in turn fund comprehensive development initiatives that benefit all Ghanaians and promote inclusive growth.

He emphasized that the MFC’s approach will not involve creating a new bureaucratic entity, such as a Zongo Ministry or department, but will rather focus on mainstreaming Zongo development initiatives within existing government frameworks to ensure seamless execution.

Nobi reiterated that the Zongo Community is an integral part of Ghana’s fabric and will receive equal treatment and attention, aligning with the MFC’s vision of holistic development that bridges gaps and fosters inclusivity.

He emphasized that the goal is not to isolate or segregate the Zongo Community, but rather to bridge the existing gaps and disparities that separate them from the rest of society, promoting unity and equal opportunities.

MFC Leader Vows To Transform Zongo Community

Meanwhile, Alan Kwodwo Kyerematen, the leader of the Movement for Change, committed to ushering in transformative reforms that would significantly improve the socio-economic well-being and opportunities of the Zongo Community, should he be elected to office.

Kyerematen expressed regret that Makaranta teachers are not accorded the same recognition and respect as their counterparts in mainstream education, despite their vital role in shaping young minds.

“I believe that it is important that when we talk about developing commerce in Ghana, we do not forget the Zongo. I have made a commitment that I will make sure that some of the leaders such as the Zongo chiefs and the Imam will be adequately represented on the Hajj board so that they will make sure that the interests of the Zongos are protected”.

Alan Kwodwo Kyerematen

The MFC leader, Alan Kyerematen, further pledged that, upon assuming the presidency, he will ensure the full integration of Makaranta teachers into the Ghana Education Service (GES), recognizing their valuable contributions to education.

Kyerematen lambasted both the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) for their historical neglect and marginalization of Zongo communities, despite consistently relying on their votes to secure power.

He declared that the era of empty promises is over, and it’s now time for tangible action that genuinely empowers the youth and brings about meaningful transformation in our communities.

Kyerematen pledged to empower young people by creating youth-owned businesses that provide gainful employment, unlock opportunities, and help restore their dignity, thereby securing a brighter future for them.
