Nigerian music executive, Paulo has ignited a buzz on social media after he listed the top Nigerian Afrobeats singers with luxury car collections, but notably excluded superstar Davido.

The discussion, which took place during a live chat with media personality Daddy Freeze on Instagram, has fans reacting and questioning why the “Omo Baba Olowo” was overlooked.

In the viral clip, Paulo, who is also romantically linked to Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, revealed that Wizkid owns over 10 luxury cars and praised Burna Boy’s garage for housing some of the most expensive vehicles in the music industry.

However, while the two music moguls were highlighted for their opulent car collections, the absence of Davido’s name stood out.

For many fans, this omission was surprising, especially since Davido recently added a Rolls Royce Spectre to his already impressive collection, which includes cars such as Lamborghini, Ferrari, and several Rolls Royce models.

Noting this, Daddy Freeze quickly chimed in, pointing out Davido’s new acquisition, reminding Paulo that the superstar’s car collection was equally worth mentioning.

In similar news, the Nigerian music star reportedly splurged a whopping sum of N900M on a brand new Lamborghini whip.

The internet began buzzing after a car dealer on Instagram identified by his handle as @edikanexotics shared a photo of the super ride alongside a customized plate number, ‘E choke’, which happens to be the artist’s favorite slang.

The auto-dealer shared the photo while tagging Davido in the post.

Paulo’s omission sparked a playful reaction from Davido, who jokingly took to social media. He wrote; “You add my name before start fights 😂😂😂 no mind Paulo with him big belle.”

Netizens reacted to the superstars response.

“Adults using a select few to say things are changing in Nigeria 😂, so these few are the ones determining the standard of living? Na wa o.”

“I don’t know what Davido did to this man called Paulo I swear 🙌🙌 he can never mention Davido’s name always enjoying seeing them fighting the guy.”

“But are these musicians a measure of a country’s wealth? Nigeria is a poverty-stricken nation last time I checked.”

“Cars aren’t wealth for the wise…in the next 2yrs those cars are off date style…especially in value.”

izebok

“The rate of poverty in that country is alarming. 1% of the population living large doesn’t speak well about the country’s economic situation. I just visited Nigeria recently and I had to give out money on a daily basis to people just so they can feed and you tell me Nigeria is changing! How???”

Moreover, Davido is set to appear on the remix of Mr. Pilato, Ego Slimflow, and Tebogo G Mashego’s hit record ‘Bibi Marung’.

The news comes after a clip of Davido dancing to the remix version on social media.

The song released in November 2024 features South African hitmaker Focalistic whom Davido collaborated previously on the hit records ‘Ke Star’ remix and ‘Champion Sound’.

The song is set to be Davido’s first collaboration of 2025 and will proceed with the release of his upcoming album’5ive’.

It also becomes the five-time Grammy nominee’s latest collaboration with South African stars with whom he has a storied history of hit records including ‘Tchelete’ with Mafikizolo, ‘The Sound’ with DJ Buck and Uhuru, and ‘Juice Back’ with Nasty C among others.

‘Bibi Marung’ has enjoyed huge commercial success since its release making it among one of the trending songs in South Africa.

The song which has garnered over 17 million Spotify streams is set to receive more boost with Davido’s guest verse.
