SOME COMMENTS FROM NETIZENS
She received several congratulatory messages. Most of her fans who were excited, just like her, mentioned that this is a huge win for her. They advised her to keep up with the good work. However, some were of the opinion that she should be careful with certain deals she signs since, some of these labels can kill the original vibe in her music. Others too who weren’t so bothered about it asked her to release a new song to celebrate this good news. Some reactions to her post read:
GYAKIE’S BIG MOVES TO GAIN RECOGNITION
Meanwhile, Gyakie has successfully done a remix of her hit single ‘Forever’ which featured Nigerian singer Omah Lay and has been making some huge moves in Nigerian in recent days. Obviously, her association with these Nigerian heavyweights including Teni and Mayorkun, coupled with the peculiarity of her craft, ensured that she secured this new deal with Sony Music. Already Wizkid and Davido are signed on to the RCA records while the likes of Dbanj, Mr Eazi, AKA, Davido, Ycee et al, have deals with Sony Music.
Yet, it’s no surprise that she is making such huge milestones since she has said her music career will be legendary just like her dad’s.
In a recent interview in Nigeria, she was asked if her dad’s music career makes her feel any pressured. To this, she responded, “not in any way”. She further noted that: “My Dad is the legendary Nana Acheampong and I believe he has created a mark in music and done a great job. I feel like I’m on a new road which eventually, God willing, will be a legendary one”.
