Legendary Nigerian singer, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has unveiled a new management team, signaling a new chapter in his career.
2Baba announced via Instagram, stating that the newly assembled team is tasked with revitalizing and reimagining his legacy within Africa’s dynamic entertainment landscape.
The disclosure was contained in a statement signed by Mary Ebubedike, head of legal and Communications of A Guy Entertainment, where the new team praised 2Baba’s remarkable contributions to the music industry.
They noted that his pioneering efforts have helped to shape Afro-pop while inspiring generations of artists over the past three decades. “We are pleased to officially announce a major chapter in the legendary career of Nigerian music icon, Innocent Ujah Idibia, known as 2Baba,” the statement reads.
“This exciting transition comes with the unveiling of a new management team, carefully assembled to reinvent and amplify every facet of 2BABA’s brand. This move reflects a renewed focus not only on his rich musical legacy but also on the limitless potential that lies ahead in today’s evolving African entertainment landscape.
“With a career spanning over twenty years, 2BABA has redefined Afro-pop and inspired countless artists. The team said it would oversee all aspects of 2Baba’s brand, from music releases and global partnerships to creative collaborations and international engagements, anchored on the values of authenticity and social impact.
Speaking on the development, the artist expressed optimism about the journey ahead.
“I’m excited about this new chapter. Change is a necessary part of growth, and I believe this team understands my vision, my legacy, and where we’re headed next. We’re not just celebrating the past—we’re creating more magic.”

The statement also revealed that the team comprises top-tier music, branding, and entertainment law professionals committed to sustaining the star’s influence across Africa and the diaspora. “We remain anchored in authenticity, excellence, and a deep sense of social responsibility, which continue to position the music legend as a powerful voice across Africa and beyond,” it added.
The singer had previously released his works through Hypertek Digital (formerly known as Hypertek Entertainment), which he founded in 2006.
