Daddy Lumba’s family members have complained about his wife’s behaviour after his death in a video.

According to one of the late singer’s uncles, a family delegation that was sent to meet his wife was not treated properly.

He said the singer’s wife, Priscilla Ofori Atta, said she did not know any of his family members.

Daddy Lumba’s uncle said the late singer’s sister and other family members are headed to Accra to sit down with the widow to properly iron out the issues and decide on the way forward with his final arrangements.

The late musician’s family’s complaints stirred reactions from netizens.

“If Lumba wasn’t on good terms with his family, including his own blood sister, then maybe he felt betrayed. Sometimes, family wants you only for their selfish gains. You could feel some of his pain in his songs.”

In an interview, an unidentified elderly woman, who is reportedly an aunt of the deceased, shared that the highlife musician had been battling health issues in his spine.

She claimed that the musician failed to appear at an event held by his alma mater, Juaben Senior High School, following his Legends Night concert some months ago.

“I only knew about his spinal issues. I didn’t see him for a long time after the Legends Night event. He was booked to perform at Juaben Secondary School’s anniversary event, but he failed to show up when I went there. I called him on my way home and asked why he did not attend the event. He told me he had fallen ill after the Legends Night event and had been paralysed. He said he was in a wheelchair.”

According to the woman, the deceased musician claimed that medical professionals had failed to properly diagnose his health condition.

She claimed that Daddy Lumba’s friends had also struggled to identify the issue and seek a remedy despite multiple consultations outside the medical space.

The woman noted that she took the late highlife musician to another medical facility, where he underwent successful surgery.

She added that she had not heard from Daddy Lumba for a while until she received the news of his unfortunate passing.
