Cardi B Reveals Being Sole Provider for Her Three Children

Offset and Cardi B

Cardi B is always going to be honest when it comes to her life, and she’s not holding back when it comes to what motherhood really looks like for her.

The 31-year-old rapper shares: daughter Kulture, 7, son Wave, 3, and baby Blossom, 11 months, with her estranged husband Offset, and she’s sharing more insight into their parenting.

The couple finally called it quits after being on and off for seven years of marriage, with Cardi filing for divorce on July 31, 2024.

While their split has been messy, Cardi has always made it clear that their kids are her main priority.

In an interview, she said motherhood turned her into a “real woman.” “I was like, ‘What makes a woman? Her body? Her cooking?’ It’s her maturity and her thinking,” she told the outlet. “If I didn’t have kids, I wouldn’t sacrifice so much.”

The “Bodak Yellow” star admitted that she hasn’t even had a moment to herself this summer, dropping the bombshell that she is the kids ‘only provider.

“I haven’t even put my feet in a pool. I do everything for my kids. I’m the only provider, and you know what? Ain’t no complaining about it.”

For Cardi B, the love she has for her kids makes it all worth it, and she had her mom as an example when it comes to providing. “If you think when you get rich you’re going to stop working, you’re never going to stop working,” she said. “I had a very rough childhood, but my mom always made sure we ain’t go to no shelter.”

Now, she wants to give her kids the same security. “I want my kids to be like, ‘My mom made sure I had everything that I wanted,’” she said.

Cardi B is known for her unfiltered personality and high-energy lifestyle, but the rapper admitted that dating NFL star Stefon Diggs shifted her perspective.

In a candid conversation, the Grammy-winning artist revealed how her relationship with the Buffalo Bills wide receiver has helped her embrace structure, discipline, and a healthier outlook on daily life.

The 32-year-old “Up” rapper confessed that before Diggs, her schedule was far from organized.

“Personally, I’ll never complain about my job or about lack of sleep. I’m not super disciplined. I don’t really have a sleep schedule. I don’t ever like to map out my day. I don’t even like to schedule my month. It just overwhelms me. The one thing I’ve been learning is to be more organized and not complain.”

Watching Diggs’ relentless commitment to football has been eye-opening for Cardi. She described his strict daily routine.

“He has to do two different things: learn his playbook and get physical. He has to be in bed at a certain time and wake up at a certain time. I’m like, ‘Oh, my gosh. You’re literally in the military. You really work hard.’”

Cardi B

The pair went Instagram official in June, just months after Cardi filed for divorce from her estranged husband, Offset.

While the rapper admitted dating in the public eye hasn’t been easy, she shared, “It was very tough, but it is what it is. It’s tough hiding. It’s tough dating in your 30s, too, but I like him. I love him, today.”

From yacht getaways to castle retreats, their romance has quickly captured fans’ attention.

But for Cardi B, the most meaningful change may be the inspiration she draws from Diggs’ discipline — a quality she says is pushing her toward a more focused, balanced lifestyle.
