Reaffirming Landlord Title At Rapperholic Rebirth

Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie

Rapper Sarkodie has hinted at featuring some A-list musicians in his next Rapperholic concert.

In an interview shared via social media, Sarkodie noted that it is his utmost desire to have artists such as Stonebwoy, R2Bees, and Shatta Wale the same stage in the next concert.

“If I can get Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, R2Bees, and some Nigerian artists during Rapperholic, I will be okay. Every artist in Ghana has been on Rapperholic a from the late Daddy Lumba.”

Sarkodie

Sarkodie further addressed an ongoing conversation on social media, where some netizens have accused Stonebwoy of disassociating himself from the concert.

In response, he explained that he could not bring every artist in the country on stage and therefore urged Ghanaians to be patient and look forward to Stonebwoy’s appearance next year.

“All fans in Bhim Nation should be calm because next year we will reach out to Stonebwoy. This year, I didn’t do a lot of outreaches because there is a lot of cost involved in bringing everyone. Shatta Wale came in as a sponsor, I even came here with his car. Assuming he had asked me to sponsor his trip to Kumasi, I am not sure I could provide.”

Sarkodie

Sarkodie apologised to his colleagues who could not perform at the Rapperholic Homecoming concert held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on September 27, 2025.

The show, which was billed with several supporting acts, saw thousands of fans turn up at the sports stadium.

However, not every artist who was advertised made it onto the stage. Musicians such as Gyakie, Ypee, and a few others were unable to mount the stage due to what Sarkodie described as unforeseen backstage issues.

In an interview, the rapper admitted that the situation was unfortunate and expressed regret over how things turned out for his colleagues who had come out to support of him.

“This is the craziness that happened backstage that went out of hand. My sister wasn’t able to be there. I personally had to reach out right from the stage to call her. Because I can imagine her coming all the way just to come and support me, not because of anything. The fact that ‘my big brother is doing something, let me come and support.’ And then when you come, there will be a lot of things that happen backstage.

“A lot of emotions will run through you, especially because of how far she came from. Pretty sure she came with family that came to see her. Ypee wasn’t able to perform as well, big shouts to my boy. I know that he knows that I got him. It’s beyond this. Sorry to all these guys who weren’t able to grace the stage. I still thank them.”
