Aduana Football Club have officially announced the appointment of Samuel Boadu as their new head coach ahead of the upcoming football season.
The experienced Ghanaian trainer takes over from Cioba Aristica, who parted ways with the Dormaa-based club following the conclusion of the 2025-26 Ghana Premier League campaign.
The club confirmed the appointment in a statement released on social media on Friday morning, expressing excitement over the arrival of one of Ghana’s most accomplished coaches. “Aduana Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Samuel Boadu as the club’s new Head Coach,” the statement read. The club further welcomed the former Hearts of Oak tactician. “Welcome to Dormaa, Mr. Boadu,” the club added.
Aduana Turn To Proven Winner
Boadu joins the two-time Ghana Premier League champions after ending a two-year spell with Berekum Chelsea. During his time with the Bibires, he played a key role in maintaining the club’s top-flight status despite spending much of the recently concluded season battling in and around the relegation zone.

His appointment signals Aduana FC’s ambition to return to the summit of Ghanaian football after a period of inconsistency. The club will be hoping his vast experience and winning pedigree can help restore their status among the country’s elite sides.
Over the years, Boadu has built a strong reputation as one of the most successful coaches in the domestic game. His rise to prominence began during his time with Medeama SC, where he guided the Tarkwa-based club to impressive performances and established himself as one of the brightest coaching talents in the country.
His work at Medeama eventually earned him a move to Accra Hearts of Oak midway through the 2020-21 season. At the time, the Phobians were struggling in mid-table and appeared unlikely to challenge for major honours.
However, Boadu quickly transformed the fortunes of the club. Under his leadership, Hearts of Oak mounted an impressive title charge and went on to win their 21st Ghana Premier League title, ending a 12-year wait for league success in his first season.
The former Hearts coach did not stop there. He completed a historic domestic double by also leading the Phobians to victory in the MTN FA Cup during the same season, cementing his place among the club’s most successful modern-era coaches.

He followed up that remarkable achievement by retaining the MTN FA Cup during the 2021-22 campaign, further underlining his credentials as a coach capable of delivering silverware at the highest level of Ghanaian football.
Despite those successes, his tenure with Hearts of Oak eventually came to an end after a difficult start to the following season.
Nevertheless, his accomplishments at the club remain among the most notable achievements by any Ghana Premier League coach in recent years.
Following his departure from Hearts, Boadu accepted a new challenge at Berekum Chelsea, where he spent the last two seasons working to stabilize the club and preserve its place in the top flight.
Tasked with Restoring Aduana’s Title Challenge
Now, a fresh challenge awaits him at Aduana FC. The Dormaa-based side, renowned for their strong home record and competitive history, are eager to re-establish themselves as genuine contenders for major domestic honours.
Club officials and supporters will be hoping Boadu can replicate the success he enjoyed at Hearts of Oak and guide the “Ogya Boys” back into the title conversation.

With his proven track record, wealth of experience, and familiarity with the demands of Ghanaian football, expectations will be high as he begins a new chapter in Dormaa.
As preparations for the new season gather momentum, all eyes will be on Samuel Boadu as he embarks on the task of leading Aduana FC back to the forefront of Ghana football.
