Ghanaian rapper and singer Kofi Mole is set to drop his latest project, the four-track EP titled 4 Da Poppin’, this Friday, September 4, 2026.

The EP’s cover art features vibrant graffiti-style lettering against a dark urban backdrop with a parental advisory label, reflecting the project’s bold, explicit vibe. The tracklist includes “Ballotelli” as the opener, followed by “Trapper Sem” featuring Kuami Eugene, “Asew” featuring Sefa, and “Wayedew” featuring Quamina MP.

One track, “Trapper Sem,” was already released as a single in late July 2026, giving listeners an early taste of the collaboration with the highlife and Afrobeats star Kuami Eugene.

Kofi Mole, born Edward Kofi Agyemang Amoah on April 16, 1993, in Kumasi in Ghana’s Ashanti Region, has built a reputation as a go-getter with deep ties to street culture and fashion. Raised in the Abuakwa area of Kumasi, he attended Armed Forces Senior High Technical School before briefly studying psychology at the University of Ghana.

He deferred his studies to pursue music full-time, a decision that aligned with his early hustles selling clothes and sneakers with his brother at Accra’s famous Kantamanto market and working as a barber.

His breakthrough came in 2018 with the single “Mensah” featuring Kwesi Arthur, which connected strongly with young audiences through its relatable storytelling. That same year, a feature on Sarkodie’s “Biibi Ba” further elevated his profile. In 2019, he won the Next Rated Act award at the 3Music Awards.

Tracks like “Don’t Be Late” later amassed millions of streams and helped solidify his place in the Ghanaian music scene.

Mole’s discography shows a steady progression. Early projects included the 2019 EP Aposor Love. In 2022 he released the album Knackaveli, drawing stylistic inspiration from Tupac while blending trap, drill, and alternative rap elements with Twi, Pidgin, and English lyrics.

Collaborations have been a hallmark of his career, including work with Medikal, Quamina MP on the 2024 EP Toopeezy, and others such as Beeztrap KOTM and Oseikrom Sikanii. In May 2025 he dropped the five-track B4 Da Album EP as a prelude to a larger project, featuring tracks like “Bleoo,” “Alte Party,” “Evergreen,” “Brodie,” and “No Play.” That release mixed cautionary tales, party energy, and introspective bars over production that fused trap-drill with highlife and Afro-urban textures.

4 Da Poppin’ appears to continue in a similar energetic lane. The title and artwork suggest a celebratory, high-energy project designed for the streets and clubs. The inclusion of established names like Kuami Eugene, Sefa, and Quamina MP points to Mole’s ability to bridge pure hip-hop with more melodic and mainstream Afrobeats and highlife sounds.

Kuami Eugene brings melodic appeal and crossover potential, Sefa contributes his distinctive vocal style, and Quamina MP reconnects with a previous successful collaborative partnership from Toopeezy.

The Ghanaian music landscape remains highly competitive, with artists constantly balancing authenticity, commercial appeal, and innovation. Mole has carved a niche by staying grounded in Kumasi’s hustler ethos while expanding his reach.

His music often reflects lived experiences of ambition, street life, relationships, and resilience, themes that resonate with a broad young audience both in Ghana and across the African diaspora. Streaming platforms show steady engagement with his catalog, with popular tracks accumulating significant plays over the years.

The timing of 4 Da Poppin’ comes after a series of 2025 and 2026 singles and features, including recent material such as “Trapper Sem.” This EP offers a focused package rather than a full-length album, a strategy Mole has used effectively before to maintain momentum and test new sounds with fans.

Public Reaction

Industry observers note that shorter projects allow artists to stay visible in an era of rapid content consumption while building anticipation for bigger releases.

Visuals accompanying the announcement include a promotional photo of Mole in a bright blue outfit and cap, smiling against an orange backdrop, projecting confidence and style consistent with his fashion interests. He has long been known for designing his own clothes and maintaining a strong personal aesthetic that complements his music.

As Friday approaches, fans are expected to stream the project across major platforms upon release. The EP’s four tracks promise a mix of solo statements and high-profile features that could further expand Mole’s audience.

Mole’s journey from market hustles and barbering to consistent releases and major collaborations illustrates the determination required in Ghana’s music industry. With 4 Da Poppin’ set to drop on September 4, listeners will soon hear the latest chapter in his ongoing story of street-smart creativity and collaborative energy.

The project arrives at a moment when Ghanaian artists continue to gain regional and international attention, and Mole’s contribution adds another focused, feature-heavy release to the conversation.

Expectations are high for the production quality and lyrical content, given his previous work. Supporters of Ghanaian rap and Afrobeats will be watching closely to see how the EP performs and whether it signals further projects in the months ahead. For now, the clear message from the artist and his circle is simple: 4 Da Poppin’ is coming this Friday, ready to keep the energy high.
