All winners and their runners-up shall be presented with an award trophy and formally decorated with the instruments of the honour at the 6th Invest in Africa Summit (Virtual), which is scheduled to hold from 16th to 17th September 2021.

The winners were unveiled by Dr. Ken Giami, the publisher of the magazine. Dr. Giami while working from the UK Head Office of the group, after careful consideration of the collated votes and supporting documents, unveiled the award winners.

The award scheme which received over 300,000 entries from across the African continent and the Diaspora, accepted applications to the award through the designated website, social media platforms, as well as submissions by email and manual post.

Additionally, the award scheme was very competitive. A 3-step point-based selection process was employed to shortlist and confirm the winners. These steps include: a call for application, a call for online voting for shortlisted applicants, and a final review of the shortlisted applicants by the editorial board.

Also, the final decision relied on the voting outcome and justified supporting evidence. Furthermore, it was disclosed that online voting constituted about sixty-five percent (65%) points, whereas the supporting evidence was apportioned about thirty-five percent (35%).

In addition, the Publisher, Dr. Giami, while unveiling the list of award winners, deemed it necessary to congratulate all nominees in their various categories and affirmed that each nominee is worthy of recognition and commendation for their selfless services to nation-building.

Also, in his speech, the publisher said the 2021 Africa Business Leadership Award (ABLA) celebrates grit, purpose, and impact in Africa’s business environment, especially in what continues to be a difficult period for most people due to the impact of coronavirus.

He further added that the leaders who have emerged winners in the various categories have exhibited these celebrated attributes in admirable capacities and are deserving of great accolade.
