FIFA Unveils Crypto.com as Official Sponsor of the 2022 World Cup

World football governing body, FIFA, has announced that Crypto.com will be an Official Sponsor of the upcoming FIFA World Cup, Qatar 2022™.

According to the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA), the company will be the exclusive cryptocurrency trading platform sponsor of Qatar 2022™ and will benefit from significant branding exposure both within and outside the tournament’s stadiums.

Kay Madati, FIFA’s Chief Commercial Officer, said the sponsorship will help grow and beautify the game as the company has already demonstrated its commitment to support some major leagues and events across the globe.

“Crypto.com has already demonstrated a commitment to supporting top-tier teams and leagues, major events and iconic venues across the world, and there is no platform bigger, or with a greater reach and cultural impact, than FIFA’s global platform of football. We are delighted to have a global brand like Crypto.com join us as a sponsor of the exciting and groundbreaking FIFA World Cup in Qatar, ultimately helping to grow our beautiful game on a global scale”.

“We could not be more excited to sponsor the FIFA World Cup, one of the most prestigious tournaments in the world, and to drive further awareness of Crypto.com globally. Through our partnership with FIFA, we will continue to use our platform in innovative ways so that Crypto.com can power the future of world-class sports and fan experiences around the world”.

Founded in 2016, Crypto.com currently serves more than 10 million customers and has over 4,000 employees across its offices in the Americas, Europe and Asia. The company, which is built on a foundation of security, privacy and compliance, is designed to accelerate the global adoption of cryptocurrencies through its service offerings.

As the world’s fastest-growing cryptocurrency platform, Crypto.com is the first cryptocurrency company in the world to have ISO/IEC 27701:2019, ISO 22301:2019, ISO 27001:2013 and Level 1 PCI DSS 3.2.1 compliance and to be independently assessed at Tier 4 – the highest level – for the NIST Cybersecurity and Privacy Frameworks, as well as for Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 compliance.

Meanwhile, the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 will be held from 21st November to 18th December 2022. During this international break, the qualifiers for the world’s most popular sporting event, held every four years, will continue across all the confederations to select the remaining teams to join those already qualified for the 32-nation much-anticipated World Cup this year.
