Popular Kumawood actor, Patrick Safo has reportedly died.
The information which was disclosed on Facebook was shared by Ghanaian blogger, Osei Kwabena.
Making the post, he shared a photo of the actor and added a caption that read: “Kumawood actor and pastor, Rev. Patrick Safo is dead….May his soul rest with the Lord”.
Family members of the actor are yet to confirm the information. Meanwhile, one social media user alleged that the actor drowned in a pool on Saturday, June 4, 2022. If confirmed true, Patrick’s death will add up to recent deaths in the movie industry.

Patrick Safo was a versatile Ghanaian actor, the Goodwill Ambassador for UN Youth Ghana, was an ordained evangelist, and also the Founder of Holy Palace Chapel International. He was also an entrepreneur and the Co- Founder of Lisaldo Creations, Chief Executive Officer [CEO] of SAFOʼs Empire Production.
The professional actor featured in both Ghallywood and Nollywood Movies. He developed interest in acting at a tender age but took it seriously after Junior High School where he dedicated himself fully to the art. He then joined a church drama group called All children for Christ and later joined Harrisco Theater Works where he gained the basic knowledge in stage acting and drama performances.
Through this, Patrick got the opportunity to join the Fun World and ‘Kidda Festʼ at the National Theater in Accra Ghana for five years. He has also acted on stage for five years and acquired more practical knowledge in Theater Arts.
Patrick Safo, was featured in his first movie ‘Official Prostitute’ which saw the late Suzzy Williams as the lead actress.
Venus Films Production seeing the talent in him, also casted him in a movie ‘Crime to Christ’, which Majid Michelle was the lead actor. Again, he was casted in ‘Tears of womanhood’. Ever since, his career as an actor shot up and been featured in numerous movies.

Projects Embarked On
Patrick Safo, also appeared in countless Nollywood films alongside prominent Nollywood actors. His Nollywood movies include, ‘Linda my love’, Suspect (Shades of Sin)’, ‘Ladies of Wings (Secret Babes)’.
Patrick Safo was a member of the following organizations: ASOC, Ghana Actors Guild, Fashion Industry Association of Ghana, UN Youth Ghana, and Film Producers Association of Ghana Shepherd to Shepherd network of clergy.
Patrick Safo was honoured as ‘Best Supporting Act’ during NAFTI end of Year Awards. He was also Shortlisted among the first 300 actors out of 1000 actors during the Tom Cruise Audition for mission impossible Part 3.
Patrick Safoʼs vision, according to a statement in his biography,was to become one of the greatest influential missionaries in the world. He was also very optimistic of working with Hollywood top actors in some years.
