Izwe Savings and Loans Plc Committed to Building a Strong Customer Base- CEO

Raymond Kwakye Bismarck, the Chief Executive Officer of Izwe Savings and Loans has indicated that the company has a renewed interest and commitment to the needs of its customers.

Addressing management, staff and customers as part of the 10th year anniversary celebration, Mr Bismarck noted that Izwe Savings and Loans would continue to work to improve the experiences of customers. As such, he revealed that his hard-working staff will be at the centre of this drive.

“We assure customers and employees that this business will continue to be managed in a very sustainable way to provide job security for staff and better services for our customers.”

Mr Bismarck acknowledged the loyalty of Izwe Savings and Loans customer base. He opined that the company and the customers have the same vision and are pursuing similar goals. He pledged his support for the customers and noted that the savings and loans financial institution will help SMEs grow.

“It is very important to note that the customers we have on boards are customers who have the same focus and vision that we have for them. As an entity, we want to be a major player in this market, supporting small and medium enterprises to build and grow their businesses.”

The CEO revealed that Izwe Savings and Loans has a number of financially astute shareholders who have financial interests in diverse sectors of the economy. He, thus, touted the company’s achievements and noted that Izwe is a well-established and secure financial institution.

Mr Bismarck averred that in the last decade, Izwe has followed a steady upward progression. This, he said, was achieved by the company weaving responsible lending principles into every level of its business. He also iterated that the company has a solid foundation on which it is building a strong, lasting relationships, increase customer retention and reduce financial risk.

Izwe Rewards Customers and Staff at Its 10th Anniversary Ceremony

Izwe Savings and Loans Plc. acknowledged 6 loyal customers, 13 members of staff and 10 Independent sales agents who have been with the company since its inception 10 years ago at a virtual cake-cutting ceremony as part of its 10th-anniversary celebrations.

It had all 12 branches of the company across Ghana joined via video links with their own identically branded cakes to mark this special anniversary.

Management presented shopping vouchers to long-serving staff for their dedication to the institution while the loyal customers were each given a 42-inch television set to thank them for their loyalty over the years.

The cake-cutting ceremony comes after customers were hosted at a special appreciation dinner for key customers of the company in early August.

Meanwhile, Izwe Savings & Loans Plc is a subsidiary of Izwe Africa, a company founded in South Africa in 2004 and expanded into the rest of Africa, with the intent to purposely shape Africa’s future with innovative life-changing financial solutions.

In previous decades, national infrastructure was measured by roads, bridges, ports, and airports. Today, the true engines of economic power are payment platforms, identity systems, financial technology ecosystems, and digital marketplaces. According to Aryee, digital public infrastructure is no longer a luxury. It is now a strategic national asset. Her remarks struck at the heart of one of Africa’s most pressing economic concerns. Despite growing digital adoption, many transactions across the continent still pass through foreign payment systems, resulting in value leakage and continued pressure on local currencies. Ghana’s Success Story Becomes A Continental Blueprint Aryee highlighted Ghana’s progress in financial inclusion, mobile payments, and digital banking, describing the country as an emerging model for other African economies. Over the years, Ghana has invested heavily in domestic payment systems such as GhIPSS and its flagship platform, Gh-link. These systems have significantly expanded access to financial services while promoting digital transactions across urban and rural communities. Yet Aryee argued that inclusion alone is no longer enough. The next chapter for Africa, she insisted, must focus on ownership. She questioned why local transactions continue to depend on foreign rails when domestic infrastructure already exists. According to her, such dependence creates unnecessary external exposure and limits the continent’s ability to fully capture the economic benefits of its growing digital market. Her comments triggered intense debate among summit participants, many of whom acknowledged the urgent need for policy reforms and infrastructure investments. During the Ecosystem Roundtable on platforms, talent, and digital markets, Prince Osei Hyeaman-Addai shared insights from the bank’s years of digital financial innovation. He stressed that successful digital products are not built in boardrooms or based on assumptions. Instead, they are created by listening carefully to the market and understanding customer pain points. According to him, the market itself reveals the problems that need solving, the type of platform required, and the path toward scalable growth.
