2Baba Sparks Debate Over Male Infidelity Nature

2Baba’s New Song Stirs Reactions

2Baba

Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, widely recognized as 2Baba, has stirred public debate with his claim that men are not naturally wired to remain sexually exclusive to one woman.

He suggested that there is a fundamental gap between a man’s emotional commitment and his biological tendencies, which he believes often drives infidelity.

Speaking candidly, the 49-year-old artist argued that while a man’s heart, respect, and love can be devoted to one woman, sexual exclusivity goes against innate male biology.

“A man’s heart, respect, and love can belong to one woman, but sexually, it’s impossible for a man,” he explained, emphasizing that emotional connection and physical fidelity are not necessarily the same.

2Baba went on to differentiate between instincts and conscious life decisions.

“Some individuals may choose to live differently, but I’m talking about the natural biology of a man. A man has many seeds and can’t just drop them for one woman.”

Accordingly, he made it clear that his statement pertains to general human design rather than a justification for infidelity.

His remarks come amid renewed attention to his private life, especially regarding his past marriage to actress Annie Idibia.

While avoiding personal drama, he confirmed that their separation stemmed from emotional disconnect. “Annie and I had a good bond. She’s an amazing and wonderful person, but it wasn’t working anymore,” he said, explaining that they “gave it our best” but ultimately couldn’t align emotionally.

Offering relationship wisdom, 2Baba advised couples to break free from societal expectations if their partnership proves unfulfilling despite earnest efforts.

“If a marriage is not working, the couple should try to fix it, but if it still doesn’t work, I don’t think anyone should be forced to stay,” he remarked, emphasizing that “only the couple inside the marriage truly knows what they are going through.”

His advice resonated with those advocating for emotional honesty over social conformity.

Reflecting on the important women in his life—Annie, the mothers of his seven children, and his current partner, Natasha Osawaru—2Baba praised their individual strengths.

“Everybody has strength, beauty, and unique qualities, that’s how I see life,” he said, condemning what he considers unnecessary interpersonal drama.

By acknowledging each woman’s contributions, he positioned himself as a man who cherishes emotional authenticity over superficial judgments.

On his relationship with Natasha, 2Baba emphasized emotional safety and open communication over physical looks.

“For me, what matters is having someone I can talk to without fear, someone who won’t get angry unnecessarily, and someone I can laugh with. That’s all. I want someone I can be completely honest with.”

Responding to the wave of online backlash, 2Baba made it clear that public criticism no longer has the power to shake him. According to the seasoned artist, his focus has shifted entirely to what matters most—his children’s well-being, growth, and happiness.

As a father of seven children with three different women—Sumbo Ajaba, Pero Adeniyi, and Annie Idibia—he has long been under the public spotlight for his romantic choices.

Despite the scrutiny, he emphasized that he has learned to prioritize his responsibilities as a parent over the noise of public opinion.

With a history marked by both acclaim and controversy, 2Baba now approaches life with a sense of calm maturity, grounded in fatherhood and personal evolution.

Ultimately, 2Baba’s remarks on male infidelity spark important questions about the intersection of biology, emotional fidelity, and cultural values.

By distinguishing between loving emotional bonds and natural sexual impulses, he invites society to rethink simplistic narratives about relationships and men’s roles within them.
