Multiple award-winning Ghanaian rapper, Amerado has dished his piece of mind to a fan for disseminating misleading information on Twitter.
Jay South, the X user who shared the information in a now-deleted tweet implied that Fameye was the inspiration behind Amerado’s latest hit song dubbed ‘Kwaku Ananse” since it exhibited Fameye’s unique sound of struggling and hustling.
“I still believe @Fameye wrote the entire song. A well-written song can only be from one person and that’s Peter. @Amerado_Burner is good but nah not this time. You can’t tell me otherwise,” Jay South wrote.
Amerado saw the post and quickly clarified that he was the song’s legitimate writer and that there is no reason to dispute his songwriting abilities.
According to Amerado, this is not true because writing good songs has never been his definition. “Amerado wrote Kwaku Ananse and that is not beyond him!!!! Get it!” he stated.
Although he has yet to find his feet in the industry commercially, when it comes to entertainment in Ghana, Amerado is a force to be reckoned with.

Amerado garnered the attention of renowned music producer, sound engineer, and A&R specialist, Azee Ntwene.
Recognizing Amerado’s talent, Azee Ntwene signed the rapper to his esteemed label, MicBurnerz Music. Notably, Amerado’s skills were showcased on a track by Mix Master Garzy, which aimed to promote peace during the 2016 Ghanaian general election. This collaboration further solidified Amerado’s presence in the music industry.
In the subsequent year, Amerado unveiled his debut single, “I AM,” a remarkable achievement that earned him recognition which Pulse Ghana included among their top 10 Ghanaian songs in January 2017. Building on this success, Amerado released his first EP, “Rapmare,” in November, showcasing his versatility and lyrical prowess.
A significant milestone in Amerado’s career came in 2018 when he was featured on Sarkodie’s hip-hop anthem, “Biibi Ba.” This collaboration garnered critical acclaim and even secured a nomination for Best Hip-Hop Song at the prestigious 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
On August 8, 2019, DJ Black, a prominent figure in the Ghanaian music scene, unveiled a controversial list ranking the country’s top 50 rappers. Notably, Amerado secured a spot in the forties, solidifying his position as a respected artist within the industry. Furthermore, in October 2020, Amerado received high praise from Reggie Rockstone, a highly influential figure in the Ghanaian music genre of hip-hop, who hailed him as one of the finest rappers to emerge from Ghana.
Opening Up On Journey Throughout Music Career

Amerado opened up on his journey throughout his music career and the perceptions of others regarding his financial status.
He shared an encounter where his classmates inquired about his career and lifestyle, noting that some believed he had abundant wealth due to his celebrity status.
“I remember after one class, my colleagues came to me, and then they said they would want to have a chitchat with me. They sat me down and they did an interview. Like, ‘Why is it that you have all the money? You are an artist, you have a car, and you are coming back?’ and I said, ‘I don’t have all the money. I want to seek all the knowledge first,'” Amerado recounted.
He explained that such public perceptions can create certain expectations of him and other celebrities, such as fans wanting to see celebrities driving expensive cars. Amerado, however, stressed that he would not bow to such pressures and would keep on making efforts to achieve success in the music industry.
“When you have celebrity status, people have a certain image of you. Fans want to see you in a Range Rover, but it all boils down to you and your story. People know me as that guy from Kumasi who’s been struggling to make it to the top. You don’t expect me to drive a Range Rover while I can’t cater for my mother. I don’t let people’s perceptions get a hold of me. I just live my life as a normal guy. When I have, I give. When I don’t, I seek.”
