Annie Idibia Allegedly In Rehab Amid Separation From 2Baba

Annie Idibia

Nigerian actress, Annie Idibia has reportedly been admitted to a rehabilitation center following the public announcement of her separation from her husband, legendary musician 2Baba.

This update was shared by a controversial journalist, who revealed that Annie is currently in a “very bad state.”

According to her post, Annie is allegedly in a critical emotional and mental state and is reportedly undergoing treatment at a rehabilitation center.

“Actress Annie Idibia is in a very bad state and allegedly currently in Rehab. Insiders reveal that it is very very bad and the two people allegedly currently taking care of her are Singer Tiwa Savage and Media Girl Toke Makinwa….. May God heal her… This is a developing story….”

The news comes shortly after 2Baba publicly confirmed their separation, with the finalization of their divorce reportedly underway.

2Baba, a music icon and hip-hop singer denied reports that his Instagram account was hacked.

Idibia revealed in an Instagram story video that he made the controversial post about his separation from his wife Annie Idibia.

Recall that Innocent Idibia had already declared the breakup of his 13-year marriage to Annie on Instagram.

“Hello to my beautiful people of all federations. Well, this thing I have to say is short but also long…I and Annie Macaulay have been separated for a while now, and currently filed for divorce.

“I would grant a press release soon to say my story. Not because it is anyone’s right to know about my personal life but because I love my people and I need them to know my innocence or offense. Stay blessed my people. I love you all.”

Hours after the post went viral, another post appeared on the same account, claiming that the page had been compromised. It read: “My Instagram account has been hacked, efforts are being carried out to take back control. #onelove!”

In an unexpected turn of events, Idibia later produced a video that clarified the situation.

He stated that his account had not been hacked, contradicting the earlier declaration, and hinted that the initial message regarding his split was genuine.

The announcement sent shockwaves across social media, as the couple, who have faced public scrutiny in the past, had been regarded as one of the most iconic celebrity unions in Nigeria.

Fans and well-wishers have since taken to social media to express their concern for Annie, wishing her strength and recovery during this challenging time. Neither Annie Idibia nor her representatives have made an official statement about the reports.

This development marks another chapter in the turbulent relationship between the actress and the music star, whose marriage has often been plagued by public controversies.

Mary Njoku and Toke Makinwa reacted to the divorce announcement of singer Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face or 2Baba and Annie Idibia.

Actress Mary Njoku cautioned 2Baba to ensure Annie’s well-being, stating that despite their silence out of respect, questions will arise if she’s not properly cared for.

“Bro, Annie has a family o! Your sisters-in-law are many, and we’ve stayed quiet out of respect for her tough choices. But since you’ve decided to humiliate her at her lowest, no wahala.

“Just make sure she’s healthy and okay because when the time comes, we’ll have plenty of questions for you.”

Similarly, Toke Makinwa questioned 2Baba’s decision to announce the divorce publicly, emphasizing that the truth will be revealed soon. “Nobody is asking anybody to stay in a situation that’s not serving them any purpose anymore, by all means, leave if you must but why bring this online this very moment?” she wrote via an Instastory.

“We know what is going on behind closed doors, The world doesn’t know anything, it’s already been hectic with opinions flying around and when I say we will fight for her I’m not talking about the general public.

“A handful of people know the truth and time will tell. Timing is everything, empathy is everything, You constantly preach love, you cannot add to the narrative that’s out there when you know what is really happening behind closed doors.”
