Entertainment pundit, Arnold Asamoah Baidoo, has tackled Elikem the Tailor for criticizing Sarkodie’s clothes in public when many people think he could have done it discreetly.

In an interview, Arnold stated that there was no way Sarkodie would have patronized Elikem after he publicly pissed him.

He pointed out saying;

“Elikem is appealing to Sarkodie to come to him so he sews his clothes for him. Suppose you are making an appeal and disrespecting the person in another poster, do you think by making this appeal, the person will come to you?

“What sense does it make? You are making an appeal to me, and yet the same message is insulting me. There is no sense in what he said”.

Additionally, he said that experiencing a wardrobe malfunction is not a major problem because even the world’s top performers experience them.

He added saying;

“Big celebrities always have wardrobe malfunctions, and this is not new. If Sarkodie has a wardrobe malfunction and so what?

“You are stepping on a colleague. Please rise. If he is a person who thinks rightly and he is in the fashion industry in a good light, then what he will do is look for who the tailor is and ask the person who sewed the attire the questions and give him ideas”.

Elikem The Tailor apologizes to Sarkodie

Popular Ghanaian tailor cum actor, Elikem Kumordzie aka Elikem The Tailor, has finally apologized to Sarkodie.

Elikem criticized Sarkodie’s tailor for the rapper’s outfit saying that ‘the tailor no try’.

The one-time BB Naija housemate indicated that he could have done a much better job for Sarkodie hence, the rapper should link up so that he (Elikem) could be his stylist.

He further emphasized that;

“Other African tailors will disappoint you, except Elikem Kumordzie, the tailor”.

His comments infuriated a lot of Sarkodie fans, and even naturals who believe he could have adopted a more tactful way to get his message to Sarkodie, including other good means of messaging him directly.

In the wake of the backlash, Elikem while speaking in an interview finally apologized to Sarkodie and indicated that he did not seek to disrespect the brand of Sarkodie.

He added that he only did the joke in the spur of the moment as a joke, stressing that as a tailor himself, he occasionally makes similar mistakes.

Elikem Kumordzie stated that he refused to privately draw Sarodie’s attention to the mistakes spotted in his outfit because the rapper is noted for not responding to messages.

He continued to make his comments while admitting that he does not have any relationship with the rapper.

Elikem’s comments are in reaction to the numerous attacks after he was said to have earlier shared a ridiculing post about Sarkodie.

‘The tailor’, shared a picture of Sarkodie’s two-pieced outfit, where he highlighted some parts, he believed were shabbily done based on his professional eye.

But clarifying matters during the interview, Elikem Kumordzie said;

“I have never met Sarkodie either on a professional or a friendly level. Recently, a lot has been said about him concerning ignoring features and refusing to respond to messages. I just put it out there in the spur of the moment. I didn’t even think of sending him a DM”.

Although he has apologized for the way he handled the issue, Elikem insists that his post about the rapper was blown out of proportion.

He emphasized saying;

“I made this post about another designer three or four years ago and nobody said anything. Now I have done the same to Sarkodie and it’s a big deal. I’m guessing because it is Sarkodie and the level of his success. I don’t know why this has become a big deal. That’s what overwhelms me”.
