Bridget Otoo Recounts How She Met Her Husband

Broadcast Journalist, Bridget Otoo has recently revealed a significant event during her courtship with her now-husband, Dr. Evans Ago Tetteh, shedding light on how her initial suspicion led to an unexpected twist.

Otoo recounted how she first encountered Dr. Ago through a mutual friend, Fati, in 2018. She vividly remembered her initial impression of him based on his WhatsApp display picture.

“I received a message from Fati about her friend showing interest in me after seeing my photo on her WhatsApp status.”

Upon viewing Dr. Ago’s profile picture for the first time, Otoo hesitated, forming a quick judgment about him.

“I saw his WhatsApp DP, a well-built guy with a tattoo on his shoulder, having a good time. Instantly, I thought, ‘No, not interested’.”

Despite receiving messages from Dr. Ago over the years, Otoo remained reluctant to engage with him until they finally met in September 2020, prompted in part by the proximity of their residences during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Upon meeting him in person, Otoo’s perception of Dr. Ago shifted drastically.

“He was well-educated, well-spoken, and seemed to have it all,” she said.

Following their first meeting, Otoo, still suspicious, had Dr. Ago investigated by a friend with connections to British intelligence.

Her inquiries weren’t solely about Dr. Ago’s character but also encompassed political motivations, considering her vocal support for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and suspicions of potential political secret service due to Dr. Ago’s ties to the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Despite the investigations yielding no accusing findings, Bridget Otoo remained cautious about committing to a relationship until she was fully convinced of Dr. Ago’s sincerity.

Bridget Otoo emphasized that her actions were driven by a desire to safeguard her image and personal interests.

Their journey climaxed in marriage in August 2022, marking a significant chapter in their lives.

Bridget Otoo disclosed how she played hard to get and her relationship with her husband.

According to her, even though her husband contacted her in 2018, she gave him a listening ear in 2020.

Bridget Otoo who didn’t want to be heartbroken stated she had to leave him when she realized she was falling for him.

“Because he had pursued me for two years he was forthright but I wasn’t sure so when we met we traveled. I think he took me somewhere. He was the person that helped me explore Ghana because I didn’t use to go anywhere. First, he took me to Prampram and then to Elmina and I really liked him.

“When I realized I liked him I broke up with him. I didn’t mind him for like six months. I was so afraid. I just went back to normal work. I blocked him because I felt he was a distraction. I thought he was planted by the NPP because he had roots in the NPP.”

However, after six months, they patched up things and built a stronger bond but broke up with him again because she was not so sure about him.

When she went back to him, she disclosed her husband said he could not take her back because she could not come into his life and leave at any time she wanted.

He agreed to get back with her only if she would make him impregnate her to show how serious he was about getting settled with her; something he had done before their traditional marriage.
