Famous singer and songwriter, David Adeleke known professionally as Davido has taken to social media to cry out just a few days after he tied the knot.
Understandably, the ‘Unavailable’ hitmaker tied the knot with the love of his life, Chioma Rowland in Lagos State, Nigeria, and the occasion was considered one of the biggest events ever held in Nigeria as it was graced by top personalities from all parts of the world.
It was the talk of the town for the entire week, and most of the money sprayed was foreign currency, so there was no case of Naira mutilation at all.
In a recent development, media personality, Mazi Tunde Ednut shared a video of the moment Billionaire, Polanco was spraying Davido dollars during his wedding ceremony and it stirred massive reactions from the general public including the singer himself.
In reaction to the clip, Davido took to the comment section to react stating that the video of all the money they sprayed at his wedding ceremony and the money they went home with doesn’t tally.
“The video of all the money dem spray me and wetin we carry go house no dey tally,” the singer wrote.
Netizens seemed the find Davido’s situation comical, as they made light of the situation, instead of being emphatic.

For over a decade, Afrobeats superstar Davido has been one of the biggest African artists who exported Afrobeats to a global audience with his hit records and albums.
In another landmark feat, Davido’s fourth album ‘Timeless’ has surpassed 450 million streams on Spotify which is his first album to his this mark on the streaming platform.
The album released March 31, 2024, has enjoyed huge success and set multiple records on its way to becoming Davido’s most streamed album on Spotify including the record for the opening day and opening week streams for a Nigerian album on Spotify.
One of the album’s lead singles ‘Unavailable’ featuring Musa Keys has surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify making it the first lead song by Davido to achieve this feat.
Davido’s ‘Timeless’ spurned several hit singles such as ‘Feel’, ‘Kante’ featuring Fave, and ‘No Competition’ featuring Asake.
The album earned Davido three nominations at the 66th Grammys with ‘Unavailable’ featuring Musa Keys earning a nomination for Best African Song Performance, ‘Feel’ for Best Global Performance, and ‘Timeless’ for Best Global Album.
With ‘Timeless’ surpassing 450 million streams, Davido has now surpassed 2 billion streams across all credits on Spotify making him the 6th most streamed Nigerian artist on the platform behind Wizkid (6.9B), Burna Boy (6.2B), Rema (3.6B), Tems (2.5B), and Ckay (2.2B).
Davido wrapped up the ‘Timeless’ era with the release of the music video for ‘Kante’ featuring Fave after a year of touring.
