Hopeson Adorye has declared his unflagging love for his wife, Empress Gifty.

The politician and former Member of Parliament for the Kpone Katamanso constituency, did so on Facebook, as he marked the birth anniversary of his wife and singer-songwriter Empress Gifty.

The social media message, posted, seemed to address rumors that the couple were considering divorce.

In Akan [Twi], Mr. Adorye praised his wife, a Gospel star, as the best woman. He dared anyone to attempt to take her from him if they thought she was theirs.

“The woman I cherished over everybody on this planet earth. I appreciate you, I trust you, and above all, I love you. Some are hoping to see us divorce, but they are not God because they can’t decide our destiny,” he wrote.

“Obaa papabi, I love you, wai. Happy Happy birthday. Enjoy your day to the fullest. S3 3y3 wo de3 a, befa ko,” he further added.

As a well-known figure, gospel singer Empress Gifty has mostly sparked conversations about the state of her marriage particularly addressing sidechicks in her live videos on social media.

Also, she offered advice to women facing difficult marriages, encouraging them to leave if they are not being treated right by their husbands.

Empress Gifty emphasized that women in troubled marriages shouldn’t be overly concerned about societal opinions regarding their inability to maintain their marriages. Instead, they should prioritize their peace of mind.

She pointed out that divorce when the situation warrants it, can be a path to a happier and healthier life. She advised women not to be disheartened by marital challenges, as these difficulties can lead to better opportunities.

She encouraged women to value their happiness and well-being above everything else.

In a 2022 Facebook Live broadcast, Empress Gifty revealed she met her husband at a funeral in Osino, Eastern Region. A month later, they were married. Their private marriage ceremony took place in Tema, Greater Accra Region, on Friday, December 28, 2018.

The five-year union is each spouse’s second marriage. In 2017, Hopeson became a widower and Gifty, a divorcee.

Empress Gifty became the talk of town, as many celebrities posted her head-turning birthday photos across social media.

As her images flooded social media, the Gospel musician was in a cerebral company of political and industry personalities. Alan Kyeremanten, a presidential candidate for Ghana’s next polls, joined Empress Gifty and her husband to cut the celebrant’s birthday cake.

The presidential hopeful historically went against his party to run as an independent candidate for next year’s major elections.

Dropping a heartfelt message in the post’s caption, the ‘Jesus Be Too Much’ crooner shared how elated she was to turn a year older and tagged her special day as Empress Day.

Mrs Adorye also dropped a Bible verse from Psalms 106: 1-2 and praised God.

While some netizens shared in Empress Gifty’s joy, others are surprised to see her overjoyed as she met Alan Kyeremanten at her private birthday hangout.
