Ghanaian rapper and music producer, Elom Adablah popularly known in the music circle as EL, will be releasing an album today.
The ‘koko’ hit maker announced the release of his album and his fans and Ghanaians have been anticipating the release since EL has been on a musical hiatus for some time now.
Titled ‘Wav’, this will be his second album following his debut album ‘Something Else’, which he released in 2012. Meanwhile, in the late hours of yesterday, he released the track list for his latest album.
The album has 13 solid songs on it with artists like Sarkodie, Ayisi, Oxlade, and Ladipoe all featured on it. The track list of the album includes songs like ‘Found you’, ‘Aputor’, ‘Nobody send you’, ‘Low key’, ‘Baba’, amongst others.
It is worth mentioning that EL produced some of the songs himself. Out of the 13 songs, he produced 6 songs which include, ‘Nobody send you’, ‘Talk to me’ which features Ladipoe, ‘Naa Aku Shika’, ‘We don’t know’, ‘Blow in America’, and ‘Together’. That aside, the album cover has been praised by many as being ‘wavy’. Most fans who sighted it commended him for putting in so much work to make it look very good.
E.L’s MUSIC CAREER
The 2016 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) ‘artiste of the year’, released his debut album dubbed ‘Something Else’ in 2012. The celebrated rapper has over the years served Ghanaians with a lot of hit songs, ‘Obuu Mo’, ‘Kaalu’, ‘One Ghana’, ‘Auntie Martha’, ‘Shelele’, ‘Mi Naa Bo Po’, ‘Koko’, ‘KaaBuAme’, ‘See me Sometime’, ‘Abaa’ and ‘Pay Like a Boss’.
E.L released a mix tape, ‘The BAR (Best African Rapper)’ in 2017 and has since released four mix tapes. The fourth and recent one is titled ‘BAR IV’. The release of the mixtape is done as a concert and it’s an annual tradition. It gives the spotlight to some of the new musicians and producers to exhibit their talents.
Last year’s edition of ‘The Bar Concert’ came off on December 19, at Alliance Française, Accra. The line-up of supporting artists that lit up the stage with E.L included Joey B, Ayisi, Tulenkey, DopeNation, Gyakie, Kev and Grenade, Lyrical Joe, and many others. Aside from that, there were appearances and interactions with some of the biggest names in Ghanaian music such as Gemini, Shaker, M.anifest, Sarkodie, Stargo, Kojo Cue, PK, and C-Real.
