E.L’s MUSIC CAREER

The 2016 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) ‘artiste of the year’, released his debut album dubbed ‘Something Else’ in 2012.  The celebrated rapper has over the years served Ghanaians with a lot of hit songs, ‘Obuu Mo’, ‘Kaalu’, ‘One Ghana’, ‘Auntie Martha’, ‘Shelele’, ‘Mi Naa Bo Po’, ‘Koko’, ‘KaaBuAme’, ‘See me Sometime’, ‘Abaa’ and ‘Pay Like a Boss’.

E.L released a mix tape, ‘The BAR (Best African Rapper)’ in 2017 and has since released four mix tapes. The fourth and recent one is titled ‘BAR IV’. The release of the mixtape is done as a concert and it’s an annual tradition. It gives the spotlight to some of the new musicians and producers to exhibit their talents.

Last year’s edition of ‘The Bar Concert’ came off on December 19, at Alliance Française, Accra. The line-up of supporting artists that lit up the stage with E.L included Joey B, Ayisi, Tulenkey, DopeNation, Gyakie, Kev and Grenade, Lyrical Joe, and many others. Aside from that, there were appearances and interactions with some of the biggest names in Ghanaian music such as Gemini, Shaker, M.anifest, Sarkodie, Stargo, Kojo Cue, PK, and C-Real.
