Ghanaian gospel sensation, Empress Gifty has expressed how she would portray herself if her husband was a Member of Parliament.
According to her, most MPs’ wives are not making good use of the privilege and opportunity given to their husbands.
She stated that being an MP wife has numerous obligations that most women have failed to realize.
“I would have utilized the MP wife role and made the other MP wives wake up. They would admire what I’m doing because people don’t even know most of them, and there are a lot of responsibilities they can do with that mandate given to her husband.”

Speaking on why she has not been on the campaign trail with her husband recently, the musician noted that her job differs from her husband’s.
Therefore, she has decided to lay back and support him with prayers instead.
This, she said, will enable her to also concentrate on her career to be able to support her husband financially. “My husband is doing his job, and he is a politician, not an Empress. I’m for the masses. So, now I’m in my lane,” Empress Gifty added.
She expressed no regrets about ever following her husband to campaign grounds, adding that it is good for a woman to support her husband in achieving their ambitions.
However, she is confident of becoming an MP or a President’s wife in the future, telling others not to be surprised when it finally happens.
Empress Gifty has been married to renowned Ghanaian politician Hopeson Adorye for five years with two children, following her divorce from Prophet Elisha Osei.
Musician Reveals Spiritual Prophecy Behind ‘Watch Me’
Empress Gifty revealed that Kuami Eugene writing her latest song, “Watch Me,” was a prophecy.
She stated that her spiritual father prophesied earlier in 2023 that she would receive a song written by someone.
When Kuami Eugene informed her about the song, she decided to consult her pastor to be sure she was on the right path.
“Around August and September last year, I was there when Kuami Eugene called to tell me that he has a song for me. So, I asked him to send it. After listening to it, I noticed the song was speaking to me because I was done with my EP and we were ready to release the song.
“I told Edem to wait so I could go to my spiritual father and ask him about this song because I remember he told me somebody would send me a song. When I called and told him about it, he said, that is the song, and I should go and do it.”

But while she prayed over how to go about with video production of the song, God directed her back to the writer of the song, and she obeyed, according to Empress Gifty.
After producing the song, she said Kuami Eugene did not charge a dime for all the work he has put into the visualization of the song, including royalties. “I showed appreciation. Royalty and everything is mine; I’m sharing anything with him,” she added.
She also disclosed that Kuami Eugene is the producer of her album yet to be released, which her fans and music lovers should anticipate.
Currently, “Watch Me” is one of the most listened to and trending gospel songs in Ghana, and Empress Gifty is making waves with the song, expressing gratitude to Kuami Eugene for the great job done for the success of the song.
