Ghanaian music sensation, Kelvyn Boy has revealed that he is not concerned when he doesn’t get rated as a songwriter by his fellow Ghanaian artists.
Kelvyn Boy said he wasn’t disheartened by what people said about him and that he is well aware of the situation.
He stated:
“I know when it comes to artists in Ghana, they don’t make me a priority like that. When I came into the industry, it was a gradual process to be accepted as a songwriter. I got into a lot of fights and all that. But I understand”.

Describing his creative process and how he came up with his music, Kelvyn Boy stated that his inspiration often strikes voluntarily.
He further added that it prompted him to create music in bursts rather than following a methodical approach of sitting down to write lyrics.
He said:
“I can go months without recording anything, but when I get to the studio, in a day, I can record about four songs at once, and all will be top-notch. I don’t normally write my songs, but when I do, it takes me a very long time. I know how to put it together in my head, all the mistakes come when recording, and they’re easy to fix”.

Kelvyn Boy revealed that his hit song ‘Down Flat’ was written in 25 minutes.
Explaining the speed at which he writes his songs, he added that the longest time he had taken to write a song was two days.
Kelvyn Boy finally denies assaulting ‘baby mama’

Popular afrobeat music sensation, Kelvyn Boy cleared the air on allegations that he assaulted the mother of his twins back in 2022.
Addressing the issue for the first time, he argued that he didn’t know the lady in question and that all allegations against him were fake.
He stated:
“It was when I heard and saw a picture of myself and some strange woman who had been beaten with marks and blood, and it was reported that it was me who beat up my baby mama like that. I was shocked; even my guys were like, ‘but this is not Debbie'”.

Kelvyn Boy’s debunk came in as a woman claiming to be Deborah Kponkyi, The mother of his twins, claimed in a 2022 interview that she had been subjected to continuous abuse by the artist, even providing evidence of wounds sustained from the alleged attacks.
In response to the claims, he denied any truth to the stories boldly declaring that there was no truth in it.
He explained the circumstances of his arrest, adding that he was arrested after a simple argument with his ‘baby mama’, and not as a result of an assault.
According to reports, his ‘baby mama’ went to report to the police that Kelvyn Boy had picked up some things from the shop during their heated argument.
He attributed the false accusations as a side effect of being a public figure. Also, he stated that people will twist it to their own understanding to get the attention of the public.
Hence, he said the silence from his camp was a result of him promoting his hit single ‘Down Flat’ and didn’t want to get distracted.
The Ghanaian afrobeat singer, Kelvyn Boy, born Kelvin Brown got signed to Burniton Music Group owned by Stonebwoy, and due to some controversies, left the label in the year 2019.
He is known for popular songs like ‘Mea’, ‘Loko’, ‘Yawa No Dey’, and ‘Momo’.
