Gospel musician Eric Oduro, popularly known as Erico, has dropped a bombshell regarding his ex-wife and the reason for their divorce.

According to the singer, he lost all trust in his ex-wife after he caught her sharing her nude photos with her lover who resided in Dubai.

Erico shared how his ex-wife engaged in sexual conversation with her lover right in his presence.

Narrating the origin, he noted that their issues began after he was diagnosed with kidney disease, which led him to fabricate a story that he had only 5 months to live, in a bid to test his wife’s loyalty.

In reality, he had rather been assured of a six-month window for recovery.

Initially, Erico admitted his wife appeared supportive, but over time, her actions took a drastic turn.

His heartbreak came on a fateful night when he pretended to be asleep, only to overhear the sound of a camera clicking.

“I was on the bed pretending to be asleep and she was on the couch. I heard the camera clicking multiple times and I thought she was taking photos of me in my vulnerable state. However, when I turned, I realized she was naked and sending the photos to a man whom she was talking to on the phone. I heard her tell him ‘If he was lusting over her photos, he should wait till she shows him proper bedmatics’.”

What hurt him the most was hearing his ex-wife assure her Dubai lover that she would marry him as soon as she was widowed, as she thought he had just a few months to live.

After confronting her about the incident, Erico decided to prioritize his health, walked out of their matrimonial home and marriage, and moved back to Kumasi the very next morning.

The ‘Ebube’ hitmaker disclosed that because of his ailment, he had to quit music for some time to treat himself appropriately to expedite his recovery and avoid endangering his life.

“Those times when I had kidney issues, it was the reason I stopped singing at some point in time. I had a serious problem, so my friends were taking my drugs from the hospital for me. I was lucky because I was diagnosed earlier by a herbal hospital at M Plaza.
“Because the drugs were expensive, I had to sell some of my properties to fund it. I had to go to a lot of hospitals while seeking to overcome the sickness.”

He has since gone on to make a full recovery, stating that he is now fully focused on his gospel ministry.

Startling Revelation Made

Erico recounted a shocking experience he had some years ago where he bumped into a man of God engaging in a sexual affair with his secretary.

In his narration, he noted that he had left his car keys in the said pastor’s office, and when he returned to take the keys, he saw the incident which he said left him astonished.

“The church was located at Nungua. When I entered the office, I was stunned by what I saw. The church secretary and the senior pastor were having sex. At that time church service was ongoing. When I saw it, I shouted Jesus! So, I told him I came back for my keys.”

Erico further indicated that the senior pastor who was ashamed after being caught bribed him not to make the issue known to the public.

Despite the disturbing nature of the incident, he has chosen not to publicly expose the pastor’s identity.

Reflecting on the event, Erico emphasized the importance of individuals focusing on their relationship with God rather than solely relying on religious leaders.
