The National Hospital Abuja, NHA, has denied referring veteran Nigerian film actor, Zack Orji to a private hospital, stating that his family instead moved him out of their facility against medical advice.
This is contained in a statement signed by the NHA spokesman, Tayo Haastrup, on behalf of the Chief Medical Director.
It was reported earlier that the veteran Nollywood actor slumped and was admitted to the hospital.
The hospital spokesman disclosed that the actor, who was brought in on New Year’s Eve and admitted to the intensive care unit, was stabilized and moved to the ENT ward.
Haastrup further added that he was later transferred to the orthopedic ward, where surgeons began preparing him for surgery.
Also, he disclosed that before the surgery could take place, Zack Orji’s family members asked that he be discharged and they were told to sign a “leaving against medical advice” form which they did.
“The attention of the National Hospital Abuja has been drawn to a publication insinuating that the Apex hospital referred the Nigerian Actor Zack Orji to a private hospital in Abuja.”
“To set the record straight, the actor, who was brought in on New Year’s Eve and admitted to the intensive care unit, was stabilized by National Hospital Abuja and moved to the ENT ward. Later in the day, he was transferred to the orthopedic ward, where our surgeons began preparing him for surgery.”

According to him, the “Leaving Against Medical Advice” form which Orji’s relatives signed on January 1, 2024, thwarted all preparations for his surgery.
He revealed that the Management of the hospital wished the veteran actor a speedy recovery.
Begging For Financial Support For Ailing Actor

Actress Ngozi Orji, wife of ailing actor Zack Orji, pleaded to the public to support her husband financially.
Ngozi made the appeal when Hannatu Musawa, the minister of art, culture, and creative economy paid a recent visit to the sick actor in the hospital.
The minister revealed that Zack had undergone brain surgery. She also sympathized with the actor’s family, describing him as a national asset. She said in parts:
“God will heal him and he will be well. We will do all we can to support him. We solicit the collective prayers of Nigerians because he is like a part of our families. We have watched him entertain us and we see him as a national treasure. So the best we can do is to ensure that we support him to have the best treatment.”

Ngozi Orji who was also present during the visit, thanked the minister for her benevolence and for creating time to visit her husband and also appealed to the public for support.
“We thank God that he is alive today. He had an emergency surgery late last night after we moved him out of the previous hospital and that saved his life. We are happy that God has shown us mercy. We seek the support of kind Nigerians to pray for his quick recovery and assist us in any way they deem necessary,” Ngozi Orji said.

Also, in the face of Zack Orji’s pitiable state/condition, an old scary prophecy about the actor has been dug up.
The prophet known for his controversial revelations called on the actor to be cautious about the incoming misfortunes that were about to strike him.
He avowed that dark forces were out to strike him down with sickness and disgrace.
The prophet described Zack Orji as a prominent figure in Nollywood who often features in money ritual movies, urging him to take precautionary measures concerning the negative omen that was about to befall him.
However, it appears the man’s prophecy came to pass as Zack Orji landed in hospital and even underwent brain surgery.
