They are the only two Ghanaian artists contracted to perform at the event. More so, they are to perform on the first phase of the event. Meanwhile, they will be performing alongside a lineup of icons, trailblazers, and the hottest names in ‘Black culture’ from around the globe. Some of which include, Davido, Yemi Alade, Patoranking, Rema, among others. Other international artists include Kehlani, Ms. Banks, Honey Dijon, Ari Lennox, and many more. It is worth noting that Davido will be headlining the show followed by Kehlani.
Yam carnival, a Celebration to Honor Black Culture
‘Yam Carnival’ is a new music festival celebrated to honor ‘Black Culture’ in every part of the world. The event which is being organized by the minds behind ‘Afro Nation’, is set to happen 28th August 2021. Yet, make a point to be there.
It will first start in Clapham, London, United Kingdom. According to the organizers of the program, the event was scheduled to start last year. However, it was delayed due to the pandemic.

Also, in a statement by the event organizers, they noted that it is going to be an exciting program. The further said that will showcase the richness of black culture. Therefore, they are calling on everyone to be at the carnival since it is going to be a remarkable event. Still, we rocked hard till.
“Across three stages, the biggest sounds in Afrobeats, hip hop, dance, Afro-swing, and R&B will come together, for a defining cultural moment, in the heart of London, on the August bank holiday weekend. Putting black culture and the African continent at the heart of everything is what the festival is about.
“Yam Carnival is truly a landmark moment where the biggest festival stages, finally become one; celebrating the vast influence, and power of the culture right now. Bringing the street, beach, house party and combining it all in one of London’s most iconic outdoor spaces. Yam Carnival is the festival ready to shake London up”.
That notwithstanding, alongside the lineup of activities, Yam Carnival will bring together a mouthwatering array of food and drinks from around the world. According to the Yam Carnival organizer, they “will be sampling in special dishes that we’ve all come to know and love. From top African-influenced food trucks and chefs from around London, expect contemporary bites and traditional home comforts all setting up shop at Yam Carnival this August”.
