During her tribute to her late husband, Ewurama Dua Anto reminisced of her fond memories with KODA and acknowledged his care and love for their children.

“I will always bless the day I met you. We shared happy and sad moments together which led to a long-lasting bond between us that words cannot express.

“You were the best of husbands any wife could pray for and the best of fathers any child could pray for. You were a good man sweety, I am forever grateful to God that I found you.”

Ewurama proceeded to express confidence in her late husband’s “excellent service to God” and believes that through his death “more souls would be won” into God’s Kingdom because KODA’s focus “was always on Christ.”

“As believers, we rejoice in the fact that you are still alive in heaven. Praise be to Jesus who died to give us eternal life knowing that one day we will all live again. Till we meet again sweety, we will miss you.

“But I am consoled that one day we shall see that walk, talk, and smile of yours again. Rest in perfect peace, my love.”

The funeral of KODA was attended by a large number of individuals, including several high-profile personalities.

In addition to a massive turnout from the gospel fraternity, KODA’s funeral drew attendees from various sectors.

Notable figures spotted at the ceremony included former Minister of Finance, Mr. Kwabena Duffuor, former Chairperson of the National Development Planning Commission, Professor Stephen Adei, the CEO of NHIA, Dr. Dacosta Aboagye, among others.

During the solemn all-white ceremony, one of the highlights was the heartfelt moment when his colleagues came together to beautifully usher him home.

The massive attendance of gospel musicians, along with their individual performances, was commendable.

However, the most touching moment came when they all took the stage to collectively sing and usher KODA home.

In a rendition of KODA’s popular song ‘Yesu Adi Nkunim’, the musicians took turns leading the anthem and, at certain times, sang in unison.

Led by veteran gospel musician, Elder Mireku, they performed emotionally as the pallbearers lifted the casket and began the procession for internment.

A group of trumpeters also joined in, leading the family as they followed the procession to the private burial.

KODA’s colleagues from the music industry showed up in their large numbers to pay their final respects.
