Rapper Kwaw Kese has voiced his opinion in a tweet that came in a wake of Yaa Pono’s diss song to Sarkodie which dominated social media.
Kwaw Kese took to Twitter on January 27 to admonish an unnamed artiste to stop wasting time disrespecting other musicians who are way ahead of them in the industry and rather concentrate on building on their craft.
In the tweet, he said;
“If you diss someone who is ahead of you in everything, you’re wasting your time. Use that energy to better yourself”.

Yaa Pono on January 25, released a song titled ‘Yard’ which according to music lovers, is a diss to Sarkodie, nicknamed ‘Landlord’.
Part of the lyrics has been interpreted as a dig at rapper Sarkodie, who was recently honored with a feature on the remake of the late Bob Marley’s classic love song ‘Stir It Up’.
Yaa Pono, in his verse, quizzed, ‘since when did we feature the dead?’.
Sarkodie is yet to clap back at his colleague despite calls by fans to hit back at him.
On the other hand, Kwaw Kese’s latest tweet has attracted the attention of Yaa Pono, who has dared him to respond in an official song if he dares to battle it out with him.
Yaa Pono tweeted some minutes after Kwaw Kese’s jab saying;
“Put whatever u wanna say on a beat, I respond to tune not speeches”.

Yaa Pono drags Sarkodie in his new song “Yard”
Ghanaian rapper Yaa Pono has released a new song titled ‘Yard’ which is allegedly a straight attack on Ghana’s most decorated rapper Sarkodie.
In line with this, Yaa Pono dropped a diss song that has caused an uproar on social media.
Pono rapped while indicating that any attempt to exclude him from the list of Tema-based rappers is trash.
On the song, Yaa Pono touted his prowess as he claimed superiority over other rappers.
He boasted of performing at events every weekend. He emitted that he is feared by some industry players while alleging spiritual attacks on his person.
He rapped in the Twi language as he claimed to be the king of the rap music space.
“Monkeys, some of your fans will still hail me.
“Who runs this yard? It’s Pono who runs this yard”.
Yaa Pono
It is unclear what triggered Yaa Pono to release this song.
However, Sarkodie has in the past days been under fire for ignoring and disrespecting his colleagues when it comes to honoring feature requests.
Yaa Pono’s latest song has caused a frenzy on social media between the fans of rap legend Yaa Pono and Landlord Sarkodie.
Following this, some musicians have also come up with divergent thoughts about the feature, attacking the multiple award-winning rap artist.
Dancehall musician Shatta Wale also ranted that Sarkodie had featured a Ghost and thus is not anything worth much of an achievement that needs to be marked.
