Leila Djansi Chides Chef Smith Over GWR Certificate Apology

Leila Djansi

Ghanaian renowned filmmaker, Leila Djansi has lashed out at Chef Smith following his controversial and fraudulent Guinness World Record (GWR) cook-a-thon attempt, calling for his removal on social media.

In a post, Leila expressed her frustration with the Ghanaian public’s reaction to Chef Smith’s apology after he admitted to falsifying records and documentation for his Guinness World Record bid.

She condemned the lenient response from those who have accepted his apology, arguing that his actions require accountability rather than forgiveness.

“Honestly! I am appalled at how a majority of folks on Ghana’s social media are comforting and pampering this Chef Smith guy because he apologized! What’s wrong with y’all? Worried about your own skeletons, huh? This is why there’s zero accountability.”

Leila Djansi

She also criticized the lack of seriousness with which the issue is being tackled, as she described Chef Smith as a “psychopath” for his ability to deceive an entire nation.

The filmmaker questioned the sincerity of his apology while reiterating that actions must have consequences, referencing the biblical story of David to underline her point.

“Someone tarnishes your entire image and gets away with it because they apologized. What on earth! David sinned, confessed, and apologized, yet the child DIED. God took the child. People need to reap what they sow. Cancel this guy. Make his skin too hot. It will serve as a deterrent. Sanitize Ghana!”

Leila Djansi

She argued that Ghanaians’ love for entertainment, such as cooking and singing, detracts the country from more meaningful contributions and achievements.

Sally Mann Criticizes Chef Smith for Misleading The Public

Controversial entertainment pundit, Sally Mann criticized Chef Smith for misleading the public with his Guinness World Record attempt for the longest cooking marathon in the world.

According to her, Chef Smith’s tearful apology cannot simply negate the tarnish he has brought upon the nation’s image worldwide, thus she characterizes it as crocodile tears.

“Due to this man’s actions, some have discredited Faila’s efforts for not sustaining the cook. This footage of crocodile tears amounts to nothing. Afua Asantewaa and others might have duped us too, but they followed the necessary steps. The Guinness World Record endeavor that we trivialize is actually paving the way for others; it’s no laughing matter.”

Sally Mann

She further asserted that Chef Smith’s sponsors should initiate legal proceedings against Chef Smith to confirm their disassociation from the fraudulent and deceptive transaction.

“If the sponsors, Nana Boro, and his team, litigate against him, then I will be persuaded that they are not implicated in the deceit. Cooking for 33 days is earnest. I am issuing a challenge to Amadia to litigate against him, as they are under suspicion.”

Also, Ghanaian socialite, Afia Schwarzenegger condemned Chef Smith for deceiving the public by claiming to be the Guinness World Record holder for the longest cooking marathon.

She criticized Chef Smith’s actions as criminal, advocating for the police’s intervention to address his deceitful behavior.

“The most useless human being and the most wicked person on this planet is this fool … No wonder people don’t help anymore. You quietly wasted someone’s GHC300,000.00 in your lies and you are here shedding crocodile tears over something premeditated.

“Why didn’t you die? You don’t deserve to live… You are very wicked, heartless, and a criminal!!! Forging documents is a crime, and even your chef’s certificate is forged. Nkwasiasem knows, when we are talking of corruption, this one too will be saying some… Fraudster.”

Afia Schwarzenegger

In a widely circulated video on social media, Chef Smith was tearfully seen on his knees alongside two emotional women as he offered a heartfelt apology to the nation, expressing deep regrets for his actions.
