Controversial private legal practitioner, Maurice Ampaw has descended heavily on the leader and founder of Ebenezer Miracle Worship Centre, Prophet Ebenezer Adarkwa Yiadom popularly known as Opambour over his conduct as a man of God.
According to him, Opambour used to be a very anointed man of God who was impacting and transforming lives but currently, the narrative has changed.
He stated that Opambour has now become a “comedian” and making unnecessary comments that do not match his reputation as a man of God.
Maurice Ampaw slammed Opambour for his jovial nature and added that he is no longer an anointed man of God as perceived by some members of the public.
“While other pastors are working diligently to transform the nation, others are misbehaving and joking with the work. Opambour is one of the comedian pastors in the Ashanti Region. I used to watch Opambour when I was attending Law School. He was an anointed man of God who was influential. But today, his despicable utterances would make you question his anointing. I can tell that he is no more anointed and that’s why he has resorted to jokes,” he said.
He noted that Opambour’s love for God is no more, adding that the man of God needs prayers.
It will be recalled that Opambour recently questioned the decision of the Kumasi Traditional Council not to invite Maurice Ampaw for questioning after the lawyer stated that some of the chiefs in the Ashanti Region are “womanizers” and alleged that one of them tried to snatch his wife.
It appears Opambour’s comment did not sit well with Maurice Ampaw who has come out to hit back at the pastor.
Opambour, however, is yet to respond to Maurice Ampaw’s claims.
Dismissing Opambour’s Prophecy For The Upcoming Election
Maurice Ampae unequivocally dismissed a prophecy from Opambour, regarding the outcome of the upcoming general elections.
Opambour had prophesied that John Dramani Mahama would emerge winner of the 2024 elections.
Despite not being a prophet, Maurice Ampaw asserts that Opambour’s purported victory of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama in the upcoming elections, as claimed by the pastor is not true.
Maurice Ampaw consequently urged the general public to disregard Opambour’s prophecy, stressing that the Kumasi-based pastor could not be trusted.
He stated that Opambour is now spearheading a campaign for John Dramani Mahama in the Ashanti Region instead of focusing on his work.
“Opambour is now the campaign manager for John Dramani Mahama. I want Opambour’s church members in the Ashanti Region to know that he [Opambour] has not received any revelation that Mahama would win the 2024 general elections. Opambour has lost credibility as a man of God, so he shouldn’t be taken seriously,” he said.
On multiple occasions, Opambour prophesied that, regardless of the circumstances, Mahama would emerge victorious in the upcoming presidential elections.
“Mahama has been divinely ordained to rescue the country from the economic hardships experienced under the current presidency of Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo. God has ordained this man [Mahama] to salvage Ghanaians from the hardship bedeviling us,” he stated.
I am certain of what I am saying because God has revealed to me that he will be President of Ghana, and no power on earth can overturn it. So we should support our incoming President Mahama wholeheartedly,” Opambour said when Mahama paid a visit to his church during a campaign tour in the Ashanti Region.
In light of this assertion, Maurice Ampaw, known for his affiliation with the New Patriotic Party (NPP), stepped forward to challenge Opambour’s claims.
