Ghanaian hip-hop musician and rapper Samuel Adu Frimpong, popularly known as Medikal has canceled his dinner meeting with some of his fans due to the ban placed on the number of people who should gather at a social event.

It can be recalled that after Medikal unveiled his new house, he took to his Instagram page and announced that he will be having a dinner party with 50 ‘Meditate’ fans at his new mansion today, 1st February 2021.

However, following the recent surge in COVID-19 cases in the country, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Sunday announced the reintroduction of a ban on social gatherings; such as funerals, weddings, and concerts until further notice.

He said private burials, with not more than 25 people, could take place, with the enforcement of the social distancing, hygiene, and mask-wearing protocols and this has resolved Medikal to cancel his dinner party with his fellow ‘Meditants’.

The ‘La Hustle’ hit maker took to his Twitter page to make this announcement. Even though the dinner has been canceled, he hoped that there will come a better time when he will celebrate with his fans at a mega party than he had initially planned. He moreover advised his fans to adhere to all the safety measures put in place to help curb the surge in the number of COVID-19 cases.

“Fellow Meditants, due to the measures we need to avoid the spread of the virus, tomorrow’s dinner with MDK has been canceled. Let’s all stay safe and pray things get better so we do this some other time bigger and better. Kindly wear your masks and avoid social gatherings”.

Other social media users found the whole situation funny as they reacted to his post with some funny videos. Meanwhile, some suggested that he postpones it to the following day since they had already bought their outfits for the dinner. Some reactions from his post read:

That notwithstanding, it can be recalled that in January 2020, Medikal, proved that he has an unmatched affection for his biological mum after he gifted his mother a newly built and furnished house.

The Ghanaian rapper took to his social media handles to showcase his gift to his mother. The “Omo Ada” rapper shared videos of his mother and family occupying their new house which he disclosed he built from the foundation to the roof. He further stated that his mother won’t ever have to pay rent again in her life because she has received keys to her own mansion.

“10 years ago my mum and I were moving from house to house, we even ended up sleeping in front of someone’s barbering shop at a point. Fast forward 2020 she is in her own house I built from the ground”.
