Ghanaian-Liberian comedian and actor, Michael Blackson has revealed a vital spec he desires of a potential wife.
According to him, no woman who cannot cook Ghana Jollof will make the cut.
Speaking at his school’s 1st-anniversary celebrations in Agona Nsaba in the Central Region, Michael Blackson disclosed one requirement to win him over is with original Ghana Jollof.
“Jollof test. You have to cook jollof and I have to taste it and it has to be great. I hang out with a lot of Nigerians, Sierra Leoneans, and even Chinese with fried rice. If my wife cannot represent my country with the perfect Ghana jollof, I can’t marry you,” he said.
He further added a humorous touch by saying that he was almost close to marrying his housekeeper because she cooked one of the best Jollof dishes.
“I’m so close to marrying my housekeeper. She cooked some jollof the other day. It is part of the best jollof I have had in a very long time,” he revealed.
And he had an even more hilarious counsel for married men.
“If your woman can’t cook jollof the right way, leave her now, pack your bags, move, take the children, and get out of there,” he counseled.
Reaction To News Of Cheddar Running For President
Michael Blackson expressed his opinions on the upcoming 2024 general elections in Ghana.
The comedian disclosed that Ghana needs a leader who can make a difference and improve the situation of the country.
He narrated how he was heavily affected by the economic downturn that affected the country in recent years.
Blackson said that he had invested money in Ghana to pay for the school he built in his hometown, but the money vanished due to the economic downturn.
“The guy feels like he can make a difference. At the end of the day, Ghana just wants the best for Ghana. We know what’s going on. We know what Ghana needs. We know what happened to Ghana. Everybody knows the economy got bad. The money I invested in this country that will help me pay for the school disappeared. So we all lost money,” he said.
While Michael Blackson did not endorse any candidate, he asserted that Ghanaians know best and asked them to choose wisely between the candidates, mentioning Cheddar, Mahamudu Bawumia, and John Mahama as some of the options.
He revealed that Cheddar represents a new and fresh vision, Bawumia represents experience but also accountability, and Mahama represents experience but also familiarity.
“So now elections are coming. Now you have to decide what’s best for Ghana. Do we need something completely new, like Cheddar? Or do we need Mahamudu? Somebody with experience, but at the same time responsible for what went wrong? Do we leave it to the NPP to fix it or are we going to go to NDC for some experienced person that we feel like he’s the one or do we want to go for somebody new?” he said.
Also, Michael Blackson marked the first anniversary of his school at Agona Nsaba in the Central Region. The Michael Blackson Academy was founded on January 10, 2023, to provide free and quality education to the children in the area.
The academy offers classes from kindergarten to primary 3 and gives free uniforms to the students upon enrollment. The school’s main aim is to ensure that everyone has access to education, regardless of their financial situation.
He spoke at the event and expressed himself.
“This is my greatest achievement and best feeling. I don’t care how many movies I have done and whatever TV shows, giving back to my community is the best thing for me,” he said.
Michael Blackson also shared his strong emotional bond with the school and the children enrolled. “Those are my children, and I love them,” he said as he reiterated his dedication to expanding the academy to educate more children in the region.
The actor also thanked the community for their support throughout the school’s first year.
