Samini born Emmanuel Andrews Sammini has finally come out to congratulate the President-elect of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo.

Ghanaian Reggae and Dance hall recording artiste, Samini

Ghanaian musician, Emmanuel Andrews Samini who is popularly known in showbiz as Samini, has dropped the list of policies he will be implementing if he becomes the next SRC President of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).

The award-winning musician made this known in a recent post he made on his verified social media handles and he also took the opportunity to reveal the identity of the person who will be his running mate.

Making the post, he wrote; “It’s time to rise to the occasion and take charge. Let’s go vote #1 on the ballot sheet. #akyesaaaaaaaaa #gimpasrcelections22”

This came just a few days after Samini trashed reports circulating on social media about alleged sabotage against his campaign for SRC Presidency.

News emerged that the singer expressed his displeasure about alleged sabotage by some members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) against his campaign for the Student Representative Council presidency.

However, Samini urged his fans and Ghanaians to kindly disregard such reports because the news about the alleged vandalization has no iota of truth.

Samini Hopes to Change GIMPA

Ahead of releasing his policies, Samini disclosed his intentions for competing as an SRC President. According to him, he wants to develop the institution if he is voted as SRC President. He revealed that he has a lot of philanthropical ventures which will enable him to develop GIMPA.

“I feel like if I am in charge, this is just the minor for to have dealt with the situation across the country, to have been MTN Ambassador for years, to be the current Ambassador for FBN Bank and to be part of like so many different philanthropical Ventures that makes me able to have the vim to knock doors. I think I will be able to make a huge change”.

Speaking about how he was going to go through with some of his projects, the Popular reggae artist stated that he will use his personality to solicit funds for the Institution since the SRC is having financial constraints.

“I know what I can do if I take charge and sacrifice myself or bring myself to serve and be part of how we can raise more. With any project that has been laying down from the past Administrations to what I may be witnessing now, I know everything has to do with funding, everything has to do with the budget.  Sometimes, I see the budget that they are claiming would take for SRC Week to happen and the fact that it still hasn’t been able to happen because of budgetary constraint”.

Samini

Samini, however, called on benevolent institutions to help him develop the Institution. According to the singer, he has placed his ear on the ground and has watched as well and he knows that “there are plenty things that students need, especially as the school is a private institution”.

“We would need a benevolent Institution to come on board to support them,” Samini said.
