Ghanaian afrobeat singer Wendy Shay has been involved in a car accident.

The report indicates that the accident happened on Saturday night on the Kwabenya road in Accra.

Wendy’s Jeep Wrangler vehicle with the registration number plate, SHAY 21-19 is seen with a mangled front side. Reports say Wendy’s car collided with a tipper truck loaded with sand.

The Deputy News Editor of UTV, Prince Obimpeh who chanced on the scene said Wendy Shay had complained of a severe headache at the moment.

“You are aware that the stretch of road between the ACP Junction and Kwabenya is typically clear at night, thus despite the presence of police, cars are frequently traveling at top speed. Coming out of the valley, not far from the KNUST Accra Campus Junction, I noticed a group of people gathering around a car”, he narrated.

He further added that he decided to park and check out what had happened.

“I saw a woman in dreadlocks who looked like Wendy Shay getting out of a car. When I got closer, I noticed that it was Wendy Shay. The number plate of her Wrangler is customized with her name”, Prince Obimpeh said.

The reporter said he got closer and asked a few questions but Wendy looked restless and had complained of severe pain in the head; she had hit her head on the dashboard.

Ghanaians are upset with Wendy Shay for allegedly delaying to go to the hospital after her accident. According to an eyewitness report, the singer first tried to secure her valuables in the wrecked Wrangler.

Many people have wondered why Wendy Shay would be worried about her items in the car over her life.

It can be recalled that a Ghanaian sensational dancehall musician, Ebony Reigns died in a gory accident on her way back to Accra from a visit to her mom, and she also happened to be a signee to the Rufftown Records Label.

Ghanaians are really concerned about Wendy Shay’s accident incident because she is the second signee of the same record label who has also been involved in a car accident.

Wendy Shay recently released two songs ‘Every Man Cheats’ and ‘Heartless.’ She explained that the song “Every Man Cheats” is to make a statement that men are prone to cheat and no matter a woman’s status, beauty, or influence, men will still cheat so it’s about time women came to the realization and understand that keeping a man goes beyond big breasts and big buttocks.

“I’ve seen many women lose their lives because they went under the knife thinking that would save their marriages or relationships and I think women should rather build their inner qualities rather than focusing too much on their physical”, Wendy Shay noted.

Wendy added that when a woman builds herself, it makes her attractive and with that, she wouldn’t need a man’s validation.

Also, she further stated that she is not even thinking about marriage because music is her destiny and that is what makes her relevant in this life and the music industry. She said she does not think that she will trade anything for marriage.
