The Founder and Leader for Movement for Change, Alan Kwadwo John Kyerematen has pledged his commitment to expand the government flagship one district one factory initiative when elected as President of the country in the December 7 polls.

The former Minister of Trade and Industry under the New Patriotic Party administration reacting to President Akufo-Addo’s announcement during his message of the State of the Nation Address that the one district one factory initiative has led to the creation of over 170,000 jobs, touted his significant role in the implementation of the initiative while serving as the Minister of Trade and Industry.

According to Mr Kyerematen, if elected to lead the country as the President he would ensure that each district in the country would benefit from his industrial growth agenda through the expansion of the one district one factory initiative.

“As a former Trade and Industry Minister who drafted the 1D1F policy from scratch, I am proud of the impact the initiative has had on Ghana’s economy regardless of the challenges the policy had to go through in respect of its implementation.

“The President’s recent address in Parliament highlighted the creation of 170,000 jobs through this program, showcasing its effectiveness in driving the local economies of the districts where the factories are located”.

Moreover, Alan Kyerematen, the leader for Movement for Change and Independent Presidential Candidate for the 2024 general elections emphasized his commitment to champion his vision based on inclusivity which would be guided by integrity, vision, and a steadfast commitment to the welfare of every Ghanaian.

He strongly asserted that his vision for the country is fueled by a passionate commitment to leveraging the success of the one district one factory initiative to propel the nation into an era of sustained growth, innovation, and prosperity for generations to come.
