The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) has confirmed that outstanding education sector allowances that were delayed during the November 2025 payroll cycle have now been fully paid, bringing relief to affected teachers and education workers across the country.
In a statement addressing the issue, the Department explained that the delay resulted from a technical hitch encountered during the final payroll run for November 2025. According to the CAGD, the challenge emerged at a critical stage of processing, requiring swift internal adjustments to protect the integrity of the broader government payroll system.
The Department noted that the decision to temporarily pause the processing of the affected education sector allowances was taken to avoid a wider disruption.
