The National Democratic Congress General Secretary, Honorable Fifi Fiavi Kwetey has outlined some key policies of the party’s flagbearer, former President John Dramani Mahama in driving the party’s Building Ghana Agenda.
The opposition party’s Chief Scribe, while describing the policies as people-centered, further stated that the proposed policies aimed at ensuring that the National Democratic Congress flagbearer leads the country to build a better and prosperous life for all Ghanaians when elected in the December 7 polls.

Mr Kwetey, touching on the National Democratic Congress quest to safeguard some essential funds of the country, asserted that Mr. Mahama intends to stop collateralizing statutory funds to collect loans.
He noted that such commitment by former President John Dramani Mahama would ensure that essential funds designated for specific purposes serve their intended objectives effectively for the country.
Furthermore, the National Democratic Congress General Secretary, Honorable Fifi Fiavi Kwetey disclosed that the party’s flagbearer, former President John Dramani Mahama when elected into power would ensure transparent tax exemptions to create fairness and prosperity for all citizens, fostering an equitable economic environment in the country.
He also emphasized that former President John Dramani Mahama would specifically review the tax exemption regime under the New Patriotic Party administration and ensure that any tax exemptions given by the government to businesses are beneficial to the Ghanaian people.
Mr Kwetey again, stated that as part of the National Democratic Congress’s plans to prioritize local industries and infrastructure projects, former President John Dramani Mahama aims to drive sustainable progress and create opportunities for job creation and innovation.
He indicated that the party when elected into power would establish a western industrial enclave to expand industries in the Western Enclave of the country to stimulate job creation for the teaming unemployed youth in the country.
NDC To Introduce Additional Holiday For Muslims
Moreover, Honorable Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress, stated that former President John Dramani Mahama intends to add another holiday to the celebration of Eid Fitr for the Muslim fraternity in the country.
According to Mr Kwetey, this initiative demonstrates the party’s dedication to celebrating Ghana’s diverse heritage, fostering unity, and enhancing productivity.
He also stated that the party would ensure that the introduction of a new holiday for the Muslim fraternity in the country would not affect productivity by modifying the Public Holiday Act so that Ghana continues to have the same number of public holidays per year.
In addition, the National Democratic Congress General Secretary reiterated the party’s flagbearer, former President John Dramani Mahama’s commitment to the cancellation of the licensure examination for teacher trainee graduates in the country.
Mr Kwetey emphasized that the move is aimed at alleviating burdens on educators and enhancing the quality of teaching in the country.

He asserted that former President John Dramani Mahama is a leader who listens and prioritizes trust and collaboration and further expressed his optimism that under Mr Mahama’s leadership as the President of Ghana, the country would realize its vision of building prosperity for all citizens.
