Joyce Bawah Mogtari, the spokesperson for NDC flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, has commended the resilience and dedication of women driving the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) 2024 campaign.
Mogtari highlighted that this team of talented, diverse, and dynamic women from various walks of life has brought a renewed energy to the campaign, reshaping its image and broadening its appeal.
She emphasized that their efforts have not only bolstered the party’s presence but also set a powerful example of commitment and leadership, reflecting the NDC’s values of inclusion and strength in diversity.
“From the grassroots mobilization across all levels and regions, our Women have shown remarkable resilience, determination, and leadership, coupled with a natural ability to nurture.
“They have consistently demonstrated love for country, love for the party and dutifully nurturing a whole generation of young women who are just as vibrant and passionate about politics and who are committed to campaigning assiduously for change”.

Mogtari further noted that the NDC women have demonstrated unwavering dedication and commitment to the campaign, working tirelessly to secure victory for the party, stating that, “‘They take am World Cup’ as we say in Pidgin English”.
She highlighted that the ‘Mahama for Change’ campaign has already covered ten regions and is now advancing into the eleventh, demonstrating the NDC’s commitment to reaching voters nationwide.
According to the NDC stalwart, the energy, tactical skill, and strategic planning displayed by the various NDC campaign teams have not gone unnoticed, creating visible momentum for the ‘comeback’ campaign.
This momentum, Mogtari observed, reflects the party’s readiness and drive to secure a decisive victory in the 2024 elections.
She indicated that with each stop, the NDC campaign continues to build support, galvanizing communities and strengthening its appeal across the country.
Ghanaian Women Lead the in Progress Towards Equality
Furthermore, Joyce Bawah Mogtari emphasized that long before the Affirmative Action Act was introduced and passed by Parliament, Ghanaian women had already made remarkable progress, paving the way for equality and inclusion.
She highlighted that these women set a powerful example, embodying the promise of a more inclusive society and inspiring future generations to continue advancing women’s rights and leadership across all sectors.
“Women and children experience the greatest impacts of poverty and inequality,it is therefore imperative that their voices are heard in all discussions at all levels in our governance architecture. When women are empowered, it directly translates to improved outcomes and economic stability”.

She further highlighted that this is why Mahama’s selection of Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang as his running mate is so meaningful.
According to the NDC communicator, as the first instance of a major political party choosing a woman for this role, it represents a groundbreaking and inspiring decision.
Mogtari sees this choice as a significant step toward progress, signaling a commitment to inclusion and gender equality in political leadership.
She expressed hope that this decision would encourage more women to aspire to leadership roles and serve as a powerful symbol of advancement for women across Ghana. “NDC is on the cusp of becoming the first political party to give Ghana her first Female Vice President and together we can build the Ghana we want”.
Mogtari emphasized that casting a vote for Mahama on December 7, 2024, represents a commitment to progress, inclusion, and gender equality.
She underscored that supporting Mahama means endorsing a vision for a future where all voices are heard and valued, and where opportunities are accessible to everyone, regardless of gender.
This election, she argued, is not just about choosing a leader, but about making a statement in favor of a more equitable society that prioritizes the rights and contributions of all citizens. “Who says Our Women have not been sufficiently amplified, they are beyond amplified”.
