In a stunning announcement, President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. has declared his decision to withdraw from the 2024 United States presidential race.

This historic decision was revealed in a heartfelt statement to the country, emphasizing his achievements and gratitude to the American people.

“My Fellow Americans, over the past three and a half years, we have made great progress as a Nation”, the statement stated, underscoring President Biden’s significant accomplishments, some of which he highlighted in the statement.

President Biden proudly touted America’s position as the world’s leading economy, attributing this success to historic investments in infrastructure, healthcare, and veteran care.

Among the key achievements, he cited the lowering of prescription drug costs for seniors, the expansion of affordable healthcare to a record number of Americans, and the provision of critical care to a million veterans exposed to toxic substances.

In addition to these domestic achievements, President Biden underscored his administration’s efforts in gun safety and climate legislation.

He also indicated that the passage of the first gun safety law in three decades and the most significant climate legislation in history were pivotal moments of his presidency.

Furthermore, President Biden touted his appointment of the first African American woman to the Supreme Court, describing it as a landmark in American judicial history.

Reflecting on the challenges faced during his presidency, President Biden praised the resilience and unity of the American people.

“Together, we overcame a once-in-a-century pandemic and the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression,” he stated.

Preservation of America’s Democracy

President Biden also highlighted the administration’s efforts to protect and preserve America’s democracy and strengthen alliances worldwide.

He pointed out that his decision to stand down is driven by his belief that it is in the best interest of the Democrat Party and the nation.

He expressed his intention to focus solely on fulfilling his presidential duties for the remainder of his term.

“It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your President,” he said, expressing profound gratitude to his supporters and the American people.

In his statement, President Biden extended special thanks to Vice President Kamala Harris, describing her as an extraordinary partner in their work.

He also acknowledged the unwavering faith and trust placed in him by the American people.

President Biden concluded his address with a reaffirmation of his belief in America’s potential.

“I believe today what I always have: that there is nothing America can’t do – when we do it together. We just have to remember we are the United States of America.”

This announcement marks a significant turning point in the 2024 presidential race, prompting immediate speculation about potential Democrat nominees.

President Biden is expected to provide further details in a national address later this week.

In a subsequent post on X, formerly Twitter, President Biden endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democrat Presidential nominee
