Manchester City have pulled seven points clear at the top of the Premier League with an impressive 3-0 win over Tottenham at the Etihad stadium.

City started on the front-foot and their early pressure paid off on 21 minutes when Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg clumsily tumbled Gundogan to give away a penalty which Rodri converted.

In-form midfielder, Ilkay Gundogan continued incredible scoring run with two goals. He fired his first through Hugo Lloris and then outmuscled Davinson Sanchez for a long pass from Ederson before tucking in number two to take his tally to nine goals in nine Premier League games in 2021.

City, who are unbeaten since losing to Spurs in November, extended their record run to 16 wins in a row across all competitions with the win.

Leicester City scored three goals in seven second-half minutes to condemn Liverpool to a 3-1 defeat at the King Power Stadium.

The Premier League champions looked in relative control and deservedly took the lead when Mohamed Salah broke the deadlock after 67 minutes. James Maddison pulled Leicester level when his free-kick was allowed to stand following a VAR review for an offside call on Daniel Amartey before a terrible breakdown in communication between Alisson and Ozan Kabak allowed Jamie Vardy to tap home from close range in the 81st minute.

Bruno Fernandes scored a sensational volley for Manchester United as they could only manage a 1-1 draw against relegation threatened West Brom at the Hawthorns.

United fell behind early on when Mbaye Diagne nodded West Brom into a shock lead after just 83 seconds. Despite a sluggish first-half performance, Fernandes produced a moment of magic as he fired home a powerful volley to haul the visitors’ level.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s first Premier League hat-trick guided Arsenal to a 4-2 victory over Leeds United at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal were 3-0 up at half-time with Aubameyang’s clever, flash finish into the near post from 15 yards giving Arsenal the lead. The Gabonese striker doubled his and the Gunners’ tally with a penalty after goalkeeper Illan Meslier mistake fouled Bukayo Saka.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side halved the deficit through Pascal Struijk’s bullet header and Helder Costa’s close-range finish but Arsenal saw the game out to leapfrog Leeds into 10th.

Early goals in both halves helped Burnley to an impressive 3-0 away win at Crystal Palace. Johann Berg Gudmundsson and Jay Rodriguez fired Burnley into a quick two-goal lead inside the 10 minutes, as Sean Dyche’s side scoring in the opening half of a Premier League game for the first time in 2021.

Matt Lowton then fired in a wonderful half volley just after the break to take Burnley 11 points clear of the relegation places.

Wolves staged a second-half comeback as Pedro Neto’s sublime strike earned a 2-1 win over Southampton at St Mary’s.

Danny Ings had put the hosts in front with a brilliant volley but the game turned on a moment of controversy as Ryan Bertrand was deemed to have handled Nelson Semedo’s shot inside the box.

Ruben Neves converted from the spot to pull Wolves level before Neto’s individual strike from an acute angle completed the turnaround, consigning the saints to a record sixth straight Premier League defeat.

Martinez made nine saves to earn Villa a draw

Emiliano Martinez made more saves than he has in any Premier League match to deny Brighton victory, as Aston Villa held on to draw 0-0 at the Amex Stadium.

Martinez produced a flying fingertip stop to keep out Dan Burn’s first-half header before deflected efforts from Alexis Mac Allister and Joel Veltman in the second half kept the Argentinian at his very best.  He also kept out substitute Danny Welbeck’s close-range effort late on as he made nine saves in total.

Maja (m) celebrates first Fulham goal

Josh Maja’s first Premier League goals gave Fulham a huge boost in their relegation fight with a 2-0 win over Everton.

Fulham controlled the game from start to finish at Goodison Park and were unlucky to go into the break without scoring a goal. However, Maja finished a well-worked move three minutes into the second period for Fulham, before doubling the lead just after the hour, tapping in a loose ball after Harrison Reed struck the woodwork.

The win, which is Fulham’s first since November lifts them back within seven points of safety.
