Malcolm Nuna has disclosed that he won't be releasing any songs anytime soon after releasing his debut album 'Hastalavista'

Malcolm Nuna, a Ghanaian award-winning artist.

Ghanaian award-winning rising star, Malcolm Nuna has disclosed that he won’t be releasing any songs anytime soon after releasing his debut album ‘Hastalavista’ which has seventeen songs on it.

Speaking in an interview on an Accra-based radio station, the young artist mentioned that instead of recording songs, he will rather be shooting more videos for his songs. Also, he will focus more on promoting his songs and videos so that his name can cross the borders of Ghana.

“I have released seventeen songs this year. That’s on the ‘Hastalavista’ album. I have been working on it for about two years now. For now, I won’t be releasing any more songs but I’ll be shooting and releasing more videos for the songs. I’ll be concentrating more on promotions so that my songs can go far.

“My biggest song on it is ‘Money man’, and off the album, I’ve released three videos so far.  Swaty is my producer and he produced most of the songs on the album”.

Speaking about the album, he further disclosed that he got to work with some of Ghana’s a-list artists on his album. He also revealed that they were very considerate with the charges and for that, he is very grateful to them.

“On the album, I featured Kofi Mole, Tulenkey, Larruso, Fameye, and some others. It was very nice working with them. They did it from their heart”.

Nuna bags home an award

Malcolm Nuna who bagged home an award as the ‘Next Rated Act of the Year’ at the 3Music awards show, he said was thrilled when he was announced as the winner of that category.

“I feel good, very happy and grateful. I haven’t felt like this before. So, I can’t really explain it. When my name was mentioned my heart skipped. I couldn’t hear anything around me and my manager prompted me that I won the award. Then I went on stage to receive it”.

When asked if he was expecting to win the award, he answered in the affirmative. He mentioned that the category was tough, however, he had a gut feeling that he was going to win the award.

“Yes, I was expecting it honestly. Even though there were some tough names in that category. There was Nanki, Ofei among others, but I still had hope. I feel like I worked hard for it. So, I deserved it.  But then, everyone who was nominated for that category deserved it”.

That notwithstanding, the young artist who is currently a first-year student at the University of Professional Studies, has been nominated for the upcoming Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) for the ‘Unsang’ category. He hopes to win this category as well. He also admonished his fans to vote for him.

“I believe I am going to win that category. If I don’t win, I tip everyone nominated for that category to win it. Because so far as you have been nominated for that award, then you are a potential winner. So, everybody else deserves it. But then I’ll ask my fans to vote when the voting codes are out”. Malcolm
