electricity is TT of 'Taxi Driver' fame has unleashed his wrath on comedian DKB as he has asked him to keep his mouth shut after DKB described him as an "embarrassment".

Veteran actor, Psalm Adtetefio (TT)

Veteran Ghanaian actor, Psalm Adjeteyfio has debunked claims that he is begging Ghanaians again to help him settle his electricity debt of GHc8,000.

This explanation comes after the media was flooded with reports of the veteran actor begging for money again. Social media users in turn heavily criticized the actor as they questioned what he did with the recent financial aid he received from the Vice President and some other persons.

Explaining what he said during the interview, Psalm Adjeteyfio noted that he was only trying to explain the situation at hand to the host during the interview and has not begged anyone to help him pay his bills, especially after getting financial assistance for his rent. He therefore, asked the public to disregard such reports since he is not begging anyone to pay off his debt.

In the said interview, TT explained that officials of ECG initially brought a bill of 4,000 Ghana cedis, a piled-up figure the actor owed over a period of time. According to him, he was explaining how he thinks ECG wanted to play a trick on him with the recent bill they brought to him due to the financial help he received recently.

“They came to disconnect my electricity. They said I was owing 4,000 Ghana cedis. How? You’ve not been bringing us bills, so what are you saying? They said, ‘well, you are owing’. We went to the ECG office and I said what kind of job is this? You’ve not been bringing us the bill, and now you are telling us we are owing [this much] and you’ve come to disconnect us”.

“When I thought I had cleared the whole thing, my son came and said that all that we’ve been paying was ‘estimated bill’ and that they had brought the proper bill which is GH¢ 8,000”.

The ailing Ghanaian veteran actor currently has no electricity connection as ECG disconnected his electricity over 5,000 Ghana cedis debt.

William Addo, popularly known as Akpatse, disclosed this during an interview. He also detailed other challenges he has been facing since retiring from the Ghana movie industry.

William got candid about the struggles he’s been through ever since he went totally blind 5 years ago. He disclosed that “Occasionally, there are other ailments that come into play”.

“Last time, I was rushed to the hospital for cardiac arrest and had to spend 6 days there. It was not easy at all because I almost went (died) just like that”.

Through the interview, William appealed to the public to support him to start a corn mill business, which according to him, will provide a sustainable source of income to fund his medical bills.

Respected as one of the pioneers of the film industry in the 90s and early 2000s, William is famed for his roles in movies like ‘Death After Birth’, ‘Chronicles of Odumkrom: The Headmaster’, ‘Children of the Mountain’ and ‘GTV Thursday Theatre’.
