Nigerian superstar, Burna Boy has disclosed that Ghanaian musician, Black Sherif, will be joining him on a tour.

Burna Boy in an Instagram post disclosed that the remixed version of Black Sherif’s ‘Second Sermon’ featuring him is out; therefore, his fans should endeavor to learn his version, especially the twi part before coming to any of his shows, because he will come along with Black Sherif.

So far, it’s not clear yet which tours Burna Boy will go on with Black Sherif as he has shows booked abroad and in Africa.

Black Sherif released ‘Second Sermon’ remix on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, to a resounding reception from fans in both Ghana and Nigeria. The track has a verse from the Nigerian Grammy award winner, Burna Boy. Before the remix, Burna Boy had been spotted countless times jamming to the song.

As some Ghanaian music lovers on social media were thrown into excitement over the collaboration between Black sheriff and Burna Boy, some social media users suggested that Burna Boy will be taking Black Sherif to the Grammys.

‘Second Sermon’ is a record-breaking track from Black Sherif which came as a part two to his ‘First Sermon’ single that caught wild attention online. The song has recorded millions of streams on music streaming platforms and has also gathered over 8 million views on YouTube after its official video was released 4 months ago.

Since then, the ‘First Sermon’ crooner has not released any new single apart from featuring on the songs of his colleague musicians. Fans have since been anticipating something new from the young musician and hasreleased a remixed version of his ‘Second Sermon’ featuring Burna Boy.

Even though fans were excited about Black Sherif’s giant leap, the remix has also met with controversies concerning Burna Boy’s verse. According to some critiques, his verse was not impressive enough.

In an interview Black Sherif, he noted that getting Burna Boy on his song is a huge achievement for him, and he is very grateful to the Nigerian Superstar.

“This is big for me as we all know about Grammy award-winning Burna Boy. He is big and has a huge following, so when he said he likes the song, the rest is what nature wanted to happen”.

Black Sherif who is sometimes referred to as Blacko, mentioned that he loves Burna Boy’s verse despite being criticized by many.

“It is an art, and I love the verse so much. I think it’s because some of the original lyrics of the songs were taken out that’s why people are not pleased”.

Speaking on the future plans for ‘Second Sermon’ remix, Black Sherriff disclosed that his fans should anticipate a music video for the remix soon.

Burna Boy’s feature makes Blacko’s biggest collaboration yet since breaking through the music scene.

Meanwhile, Black Sherif is scheduled to host a concert later this year, dubbed ‘Mozama Disco’, to climax what has been a phenomenal 12 months for the Konongo-born superstar
