Blakk Rasta, has said that he doesn't trust Mark Okraku Mantey, if he becomes the Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture.

Controversial radio presenter Black Rasta has stated that Ghanaian singers Gyakie and Black Sherif have been buried because they are not making waves currently in the music scene.

The radio host asserted that the two, Gyakie and Black Sherif are out of the scene now and their presence is lifeless now in the Ghanaian music industry.

Black Rasta made this statement based on the rave of Nigerian artiste, Teckno’s Buga song which has taken over the airwaves and music charts sinking Black Sherif’s ‘Kwaku the traveler’.

Speaking in an interview, the ‘Barack Obama’ hitmaker noted that the attitude of Ghanaians whereby “fruits are forced to ripe” is a problem. He explained that in Ghana, talents are not nurtured efficiently and are forced to satisfy certain “outrageous” demands. He noted that this causes the downfall of many budding artists.

“Where is Gyakie right now? Are you still hearing about Gyakie? look at the hype they gave to Gyakie and now she is nowhere to be found,” Black Rasta said.

Ghanaian fast-rising musical artist, Gyakie, keeps making impressive strides with her unique talent, and all her efforts aren't in vain as her latest hit single 'Forever', ranks number 4 on the Billboard charts global for two weeks straight.

On the part of Black Sherif, Black Rasta said it was a mistake for industry players to compare the ‘Kwaku the traveler’ star who is not yet mature in the entertainment game to experienced and nature musicians. He iterated that the Nigerian song Buga has buried Black Sherif’s ‘Kwaku the traveler’ and now people have forgotten about him and dancing to Buga everywhere.

“Ghanaians have dumped ‘Kwaku the traveler’ for the Buga song,” Black Rasta said.

It can be recalled that Blakk Rasta recently cautioned that if Black Sherif isn’t careful, he will become a one-way artist. According to Blakk Rasta, he sees Black Sherif as “someone who has a certain grace moving with him” because a lot of people have released better songs than ‘Kweku The Traveler’, yet it is making waves than those songs.

Black Rasta noted that he has listened to only two songs from Black Sherif and they both sound similar. He stated that even though similarities don’t make the songs the same, if Black Sheriff doesn’t take care, he will become a “one-way artist”.  Blakk Rasta, therefore, advised Black Sheriff to take advantage of the grace in his life and learn from the mistakes of others in the industry so he doesn’t repeat the same mistakes, in order to become great.

In the same vein, Blakk Rasta also passed comments about dancehall artist, Shatta Wale. He claimed that “the dancehall performer is not a talented musician because the volume level in his music is really high”. According to Blakk Rasta, the crooner of ‘Gringo’ “causes pain in my ears with his music”.

Black Rasta stated that even if a trillion people declare their love for Shatta Wale’s music, he would never be able to enjoy Shatta Wale’s songs.

“It is not his personality that is important here; rather, it is his music. I have attempted to play and love his music, but I don’t love it. This is not the kind of music I want to listen to, as it causes a roaring sound in my ears”.

On the other hand, he emphasized that Stonebwoy’s songs and performances are significantly more impressive than those of both Shatta Wale and Sarkodie combined.
