Honorable Alhassan Bashir Fuseini, also known as Alhaji A.B.A Fuseini, the Member of Parliament for Sagnarigu, has announced that he will not run for office in any upcoming elections after his term as the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) parliamentary candidate was not extended.
He asserted that he could assist the NDC and an NDC-led administration in a variety of positions, not just as a legislator.
“I am a Mulsim, and everything that happens, we say it is the will of Allah almighty,” he remarked in an interview on Monday, May 29.
“On the day I was born, it was Allah who had set the date for me so I am not somebody who goes into what destiny has decided otherwise there is a big story to tell. They say the walking stick is long but you have where you hold it. I can say without a doubt that the good people of Sganarigu celebrate me.”

When questioned about why he was ejected when everyone was applauding him, he responded, “I have never been kicked out. They did not endorse me for another term, go and talk to the people on the ground.”
“They did not renew my mandate but I am so well appreciated by the good people of Sagnarigu. Even if for nothing, they have given me three conductive terms. I can tell you that you don’t realize the importance of your buttocks until there is a boil on it.”

Honorable Alhassan Bashir Fuseini was then asked if he would ever return to parliament even when he is given the chance.
He answered “No. I believe in myself that it is time to move on. There are many capacities in which I can serve the NDC and I have no doubt in my mind that by the grace of Allah HE Former President Mahama will be declared as President-elect after December 7 2024 elections and will be sworn in on January 7 2025 as the president and I am willing to serve President Mahama in any capacity.”
I Was Always An NDC Person When I Worked At Daily Graphic
Alhassan Bashir Fuseini, a lawmaker for the Sagnarigu Constituency, said that before becoming a legislator, he worked as a journalist for the state-owned Daily Graphic and was highly impartial and fair.
He said that everyone at Daily Graphic knew he was a National Democratic Congress (NDC) member. He did, however, emphasize that he maintained his professionalism and displayed all of the professional standards, including impartiality and neutrality.
Speaking in an interview on Monday, May 29, Mr. Fusei who recently lost his bid to be the parliamentary candidate again for the NDC in Sagnarigu said “My NDC credentials were never hidden when I was in Graphic.”
“It was very clear that I was an NDC person through and through but what I did was that I always made sure that notwithstanding my political position, I functioned as a professional. When I was doing my job as a journalist, I endeavored to be very fair balance and objectives in the work that I carried out.
“For instance, Mr Dan Botwe who was the NPP’s General Secretary at that time, if he had any news to break out, he would give it to me first. Because he had confidence in me, notwithstanding my political credentials.”
