UK Intelligence Service Recruits Russian Spies

Military Intelligence Section 6, UK.

Sir Richard Moore, Chief of the MI6 revealed on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 that, the intelligence unit has recruited more Russian spies, who felt dissatisfied with Moscow’s operations in Ukraine, and also encouraged more enraged Russian spies to defect and work with them.

The MI6 chief stated in an event in Prague that, numerous Russians are “silently appalled” to see what has transpired in Ukraine such as witnessing the demolition of Ukrainian cities by Russian soldiers. “They are watching in horror as their soldiers ravage a kindred country,” he said.

Also, the security Chief stressed that, UK is ready to hire more Russians, who desire to join the intelligence services, and help put an end to the conflict in Ukraine.

“We will handle their offers of help with the discretion and professionalism for which my service is famed. Their secrets will always be safe with us.”

Sir Richard Moore, MI6 Chief.

The MI6 Chief made these remarks during his maiden appearance of the year at the British embassy in Prague, to commemorate 55 years of Russian tanks crushing through the Prague spring.

Sir Moore utilized the opportunity to reflect on the atrocities committed by Russia in the said event, when 250,000 troops invaded the Czech Republic to stop the then administration from liberalizing the communist nation.

He claimed that, many Russians are faced with the “same dilemmas and tugs of conscience” that their forefathers endured in 1968.

“They know in their hearts that Putin’s case for attacking a fellow Slavic nation is fraudulent, a miasma of lies and fantasy. I invite them to do what others have already done this past 18 months and join hands with us.”

Moreover, Sir Richard Moore acknowledged that, he was amazed by the actions that unfolded in Rostov-on-Don, when Wagner fighters marched 200 kilometers towards Moscow. He voiced that it was very humiliating for the Russian Premier to agree to a deal with Yevgeny Prigozhin and his Wagner group.

Meanwhile, Wagner has been engaged in some of the fiercest fights in Ukraine since Moscow commenced its incursion in Ukraine in February 2022. The whereabouts of the Wagner boss has been questioned, following the failed mutiny.

Sir Richard Moore claimed that, the only solution to the current happenings to Ukraine, is for Putin to withdraw his troops from the frontlines.

When queried about the extent to which Putin is willing to go, the intelligence chief responded that, “he really didn’t fight back against Prigozhin, he cut a deal to save his skin, using the good offices of the leader of Belarus.”

“Even I can’t see inside Putin’s head, but the only people who have been talking about escalation and nuclear weapons are Putin and a handful of henchmen around him. That is irresponsible, it’s reckless and it is designed to try and weaken our resolve in supporting Ukraine and it will not work.”

Emergence Of AI In Security Operations

Furthermore, Sir Richard Moore expounded that, artificial intelligence (AI) will never take the role of human spies, despite the fact that it has been utilized to sabotage the flow of weaponry to Russia.

He noted that human agents are “never just passive information gatherers” and that “sometimes they can influence decisions inside a government or terrorist group.”

Nevertheless, Sir Richard Moore stated that, technology is moving at “startling speed.” He emphasized that, his staff have been utilizing AI “to augment, but not replace” their own judgment on how individuals would behave in certain circumstances.

“They’re combining their skills with AI and bulk data to identify and disrupt the flow of weapons to Russia for use against Ukraine.”
