Tonto Dikeh Blasts Mohbad’s Father

Joseph Aloba, Tonto Dikeh and the late Mohbad

Nigerian actress turned politician, Tonto Dikeh has unleashed her discontentment on social media aiming at the father of the late singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, widely known as Mohbad.

The father of the music sensation, Joseph Aloba, made waves recently when he spilled the bean about the late artist’s wife, Wunmi, during a courtroom appearance.

Following the online wildfire sparked by Mr. Aloba’s claims, Tonto promptly turned to her official Instagram page to let her thoughts fly.

The movie star poured her heart out in a lengthy post, disclosing her difficulty in supporting Mohbad’s father. She opined that instead of “speaking carelessly,” he should have provided all the information in his possession to the authorities.

Tonto Dikeh revealed that they’ve been going the extra mile, putting their blood, sweat, and tears into seeking justice for Mohbad.

“It’s so hard to Love or even support #Generalmohbads dad. I mean if he has so much information to give, why can’t he take it to the authorities? Is online the judge and jury or Authority? …Take these claims to the right authority, have them verified, and pick up who you accuse,”  she wrote.

“We are using our personal resources, sweat, and blood to fight for your amazing son and all you have to do is humiliate our efforts by carelessly speaking when we have begged you countless times to go give every info you have. GOD BLESS MY FATHER,” she further added.

Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba shared insights into his son’s relationship with fellow artist Azeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley when he took the stand at a Lagos State coroner court.

He revealed that his son had been living with Naira Marley since December 2019.

During his testimony, Mr. Aloba disclosed that he and his son had lived together for 18 years, though he was uncertain about the exact residence where his son and Naira Marley cohabitated.

He mentioned that Mohbad moved out when he reached the age of consent to pursue his career and began working with Naira Marley.

The testimony was part of a coroner’s inquest investigating the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s untimely passing at the age of 27. The talented musician passed away on September 12 and was laid to rest the following day.

The singer’s death had sparked controversies, leading the Lagos State Government to launch the coroner’s inquest, which began on October 13 at the Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court.

Mr. Aloba recounted that he last saw his son just three days before his tragic passing and only saw a photo of his casket. His late son assured him that he could resolve his issues with Naira Marley.

Joseph Aloba also disclosed that he saw blood-stained clothes in Mohbad’s bedroom on the day he died. He claimed he took his son’s remains to a mortuary but was rejected, so he had to bury him immediately.

Regarding the deceased’s belongings, Mr. Aloba revealed that his son’s landed properties were under the control of his mother-in-law. He also claimed that his daughter-in-law had at times mixed sleeping pills in his son’s food.

According to Mr. Aloba, Mohbad had confided in him about disputes over property held by his wife and her family.

He expressed concerns about his daughter-in-law’s infidelity. “I don’t trust his wife. My son told me she always put sleeping pills in his noodles and went to another room to sleep with another artist signed by Naira Marley in the same house,” he said.

Mr. Aloba also mentioned that Mohbad had tried to reconcile him with his mother. He concluded by revealing that his son had gifted him a car after their reconciliation.
